tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 That bird video! It shows how badly humans can handle problems as well as how the birds clear an area. Obviously, the methods used to control, fail. Although many don’t agree with harvesting birds, it did make me wonder, if they devour rice crops and are sitting ducks, why are they not a protein source? Millions of eggs!

I was outside earlier. Taking a walk is such a relaxing thing to be doing right now. I thought I would share a bit of what I saw. I hope this is a breath of fresh air for everyone. I’ll be back with the kitty report.

Peach blossoms, pine trees and beautiful sky!

Oxalis Flowers and bright green foliage in the leaves of last year.

Cherokee rose.

Tiny white flower buds on Sundew plants.

The sundew leaves have hundreds of little hairs that are tipped with a sparkling drop of liquid. The plants are only about an inch and a half across.

The woods are bordered by thousands of white violets. Very soon they will produce seed pods that, when ripe, will launch the seeds. The pods are like springs and any movement causes the seeds to be forcefully ejected to new ground.

The deciduous tress have not leafed out yet but the silhouettes are lovely. The sky was amazing today.

Deep breath everyone! The breeze is wonderful and filled with the perfume of peach flowers, jasmine, tea olive, banana shrub, violets and roses. No matter where you go, something amazing is waiting to be discovered. If you take a walk, look closely in the grass for the tiny jewels that are usually missed as we walk by. Like sundews.

Another series of wonderful photos and thoughts, Jcatbird Jcatbird -- for which we thank you so much! Such lovely signs of Spring. Our Valencia orange is in blossom now -- and that is the sweetest scent I know! Bees are busy on them and on the nectarine blossoms right now. I am hoping for some violets, too. The air is perfumed in the beginning of Spring every year. So much beauty!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I enjoy hearing about flowers everywhere too. Especially scented things. If only we had a way to share the aromas online! I know the scent of orange blossoms and can imagine your Valencia. My banana shrub is one of my absolute favorites but it just can’t be described. Ummmm!
Good to know that shipments are coming in. Creative is important. In our minds we can take that Spring walk and use the photos to imagine the feel of the sun no matter where we are. I sometimes imagine the crunch of fresh snow beneath my feet when it’s a muggy winter day here. A crisp cool day can be envigorating. Sun can glitter off of snow. Very glad you enjoyed the walk! :)

M maggiedemi So you love your coffee too. I drink mine weak. More milk than coffee. Lol I think a cup of yours would have me acting like Froggie. Hopping! The kitties might laugh at me. ;) Lady said to tell you, she loves you for your colors too. Sending purrs! We have rain coming. The frogs will enjoy it.

Furballsmom Furballsmom Thank you! Your words brought to my mind the statue of “The Thinker.” As a kid I always wondered if putting your fist to your chin , somehow, helped the thought process. Kids think of funny things sometimes.
The flowers bring me great pleasure. I love searching each day for any new blooms. I planted so many scented things for Sarah, I can often tell what has opened up just by standing in the breeze. The peach flowers are especially nice right now.
That photo of Mitsy got my attention too. She must be on tippy toes! Honestly, she looks like she has froggy legs! :flail:I knew some of these kitties were royalty!

rubysmama rubysmama I know! Maybe those little birds are really like the Phoenix! That would explain their return! We can add to that. Each feather becomes another new bird, thus ,forever spreading them throughout the world. :redheartpump:

The kitties decided we should have something different to do at home today.
Muffin came up with the idea. We can start a home exercise class! Come on everybody! All together now!

I tried to take my walk outside today, but the wind nearly blew me away. It felt like the Wizard of Oz! But I did notice how wonderful the air smelled! I don't know what it was. Pine trees maybe?

No matter where you go, something amazing is waiting to be discovered.
I hope so! I'm starting to panic about this Corona Virus. :(

Not me! I never daydream about winter. Blah. I like to be warm. ☀

Lady said to tell you, she loves you for your colors too.
Awww I love that! So sweet. 🌈

Try not to feel panic. I know this is all strange and nerve wracking but we have many viruses pass us during the flu season. The big thing is to practice practical suggestions. Keep others at a safe distance, wash your hands anytime you come in from any where, or handle anytihing in stores, don’t touch your face until you have washed up, if you sneeze or cough be sure to protect others by putting your face into the crook of your elbow, don’t go shopping or around multiple people unless you need to, keep surfaces clean, try to stay active in mind and body and remember that , this too shall pass. If you feel stressed, talk to someone, help someone, take a deep breath of that nice outside air or pet a kitty. It all helps. We are here for each other. That is something we can all be thankful for.

It’s dark outside but I took this picture. This sign is a reminder I keep on my porch near Sarah’s garden . We can be grateful for many things, Including everyone on TCS and our fur babies. :redheartpump:

pearl99 pearl99 It’s hot here. I have the air conditioner on so I can sleep tonight. I’ll imagine I am crunching my shoes into your fresh layer of cool snow! :)
I’ll also imagine I am carrying an aromatic cup of tabbytom tabbytom s cup of coffee across the chilly night! Ummm!

Freshly ground coffee smells wonderful! I had a friend who owned a coffee shop and I used to help out there just for fun!

I spent some time in another country and the coffee there was amazing. Much thicker than American coffee. The sugar used there was cane sugar and lovely. At that time I hadn’t seen cane sugar since childhood. It’s readily available here now and I prefer it.

HA! I got here! By the hardest. It's almost midnight, and I spent the last 3 hours on chat with an Apple tech, trying to figure out what is going on with my phone. It appears that it is dying of old age, and will need to be replaced very soon. The upside is that he told me how to back everything up, so when I get the new phone, my "stuff" will all be there!

Cane sugar is DA BOMB! Unfortunately, the price blows my budget!

Poor phone! I expect mine will follow yours in time. Hang on little phones!

Cane sugar is yummy! I know what you mean about the cost. Weird that the highly processed stuff costs less. :headscratch:

Thanks for posting the flower pics. They're so beautiful. 🌸🌺🌼💐🌷🌹🥀

Spring is slowly arriving up here in the north. Crocuses are blooming. Daffodils are sprouting. Today's sun should help. :sunshine:

Great kitty exercises. Just a reminder we all need to remember to move during these days of social distancing and isolation. :hugs:

I'll second that. Our tulips and daffodils have sprouted, and our dwarf crocus are in full bloom, and some of our other perennials are showing signs of life as well.
My daffodils are coming up also. So nice to see. Grass is getting greener under the snow.
