We have a roof over our heads and food..and most of all we are now SAFE! A much loved possibly pregnant kitty is by far not the worst thing I have had to deal with.

So tomorrow will be 2 weeks since my cat escaped and I found her with another cat. No pinking yet. I have noticed that she seems to be eating a little more and she is super lovable every night when I finally sit down..oh and she sleeps hard! She goes out and stays out! How soon would she come back into heat if she isn't pregnant? Her heat stopped within 48 hours of her calling..just about a day and a half to 2 days after she possibly mated. I guess time will tell
Nipples pink up at 21 days. Heats are roughly every 2 weeks. She is very likely pregnant.

You can almost bet she is pregnant. I know it is expensive to spay a cat, but raising kittens and finding homes for them all is not cheap either. First litters are usually small, I wish you well, keep us informed!
Some cats, if the pregnancy doesn't take, will have a false pregnancy. And you can't really tell the difference until the end, without an ultrasound anyway. But it's probably best to assume she is pregnant. Unless a cat is infertile for some reason, it would be rare for a mating to not result in pregnancy.

Some cats' nipples never pink up, even though they are pregnant. But most cats show around the 5th week.

I have a food question. She is so picky. She will only eat the canned food with a sauce or gravy and she licks all the gravy off and leaves the rest. I'm afraid she isn't getting enough nutrition even though she looks good. She is still on dry kitten food because she's just about a year old. She eats quite a bit of that.
I would feed her what she likes. She's getting plenty of nutrition from the kitten chow and gravy.

Fancy Feast makes broth packets, but I think there are still "tender morsels" in it. Maybe she would like those better.

I think some pinking may be starting..she was sitting beside me on the arm of the sofa tonight and I looked at her belly and could actually see one of her nipples. My gosh she is a wild thing tonight though. She has this little springy toy that she has been throwing around and chasing for the past hour or so. Come to think of it she has been energetic all day..almost like she's bored and looking for something to do. I thought maybe heat was starting again until I saw the nipple. Just wish I knew one way or the other..drives me nuts

I'M leaning towards pregnant but still holding out hope she will come I to heat. If not I have pretty much decided I will let her have them. I just can't bring myself to have her spayed halfway through. I have someone willing to take 2 kittens for sure and I would be very comfortable with her taking them. If I couldn't home the rest I would just keep them. So now I just have to wait and see
