Those kittens are so cute. That cream color with stripes is really interesting. I don't think I've seen kittens like that before.
Do you mean Winnie and her brother? I know, and it was love at first sight! I think she may be a point, we discussed that on another thread. But she certainly has the classical tabby markings too!

Yes! I wonder whether the stripes will fade out over time or if they will stay with them as they get older. That kitten is so darn cute either way.
Actually, the stripes have developed as she has aged. Her whole body is getting darker with time but her tips get even darker still.

What cute photos. The one of the kitten climbing the gate is just too adorable. That kitten was seriously interested on the world outside that gate!
It so shocked me! At first the gate was only half that tall and I never dreamed she would get over two stacked on top of each other! She did indeed make it :)

I love the pattern on her side. That is a lot like the one that my orange tabby has (but of course in different colors).

I love the baby gate escape. I have always suspected a kitten could do that if determined enough.

We gave up trying to contain them to the non carpet flooring after that. Winnie isn't a climber so it wasn't fair to leave the gate up LOL

What a great pair of photos! I've lived with puppies behind a gate before but I don't remember them ever managing to make such a daring escape!

I'm just so tickled that I happened to catch this run on camera! She made the same escape one other time before I took the gate down altogether :)

I think Sniffles and Paul must be sister and brother!  They look so much alike with the patch of white hair on their tummy.  Sniffles is just beautiful!
Thanks! I'll tell her you said so. I just love her to pieces. She's the best-behaved cat I've ever had. I got her three years ago and she's never given me any trouble. I got her by answering a post on Craigslist about a "free black cat". I was already looking around for a cat to adopt and posts like that make me so nervous - you never know what sickos are out there looking for a free black cat. The person who gave her to me said she was 6 months old and "definitely not pregnant" but when I took her into work the next day to get her spayed it turned out she was actually a year old AND pregnant. I'm so glad I saved her; things might have gone badly for poor Sniffles if she'd ended up with someone else. Anyway, she makes me smile everyday and I just adore her. It's true what they say, sometimes the best things in life are free. :)

All of these photos are adorable. Thanks for sharing everyone. I'm really enjoying this site. I'm so happy I found it.
Me, too. I love all the photos and stories of cute cat behavior. I'm only allowed two in my apartment and this is a way to see what lots of cats are up to.

Ooh, nice little perch - purrfectly positioned for pouncing on or pawing at someone's head as they sleep should Carrot feel a little bored and peckish through the night.

I bet a taller version of that will look lovely.  Does the wood get clawed and shredded in the same way as sizal covered posts do?
I had a cat once who shredded nothing but bare wood, furniture or sisal left him cold. I have an old rocking chair that still shows the signs of his scratching, he was really fierce about that and had huge claws.

We got my cat a scratching post and he scratches everything but the scratching post, so we gave it away, but he likes to scratch the couches
Mine don't like scratching posts so I have a special chair that they can scratch on any time. It's an old one that was given to me and I really didn't like it
so it became theirs. It keeps them from scratching on the couch.

Sammy likes to scratch the door frame of the bathroom.

Its funny because we got these things to cover the parts of the couch he was scratching because they started looking horrendous, but I have caught him scratching those cover things before, and now, he doesn't just scratch the corner, he goes across the whole couch pulling himself with his front paws, he puts his clawws in the couch and pulls so that he drags himself across and sometimes walks sideways across the couch too, he pulls with his front and back claws across, he can scratch the floor though, it is the same material as the couch.
One of my cats does that on the carpet, I scold him every time and he is doing it less now. He also scratches the carpet although he has pad and scratching posts galore. At least he is not wrecking the furniture.

Carrot frequently will get excited while playing and scratch the carpet. It seems that he really does forget since he looks guilty afterward when I tell him to stop.

I know what you mean. But Panthera just nonchalantly walks away as if I had never said a word. The other cats don't do anything like that although Capucchino used to scratch furniture which for some reason she does not do anymore but uses the posts.
