That sounds really good, especially the peanut pie. Did you make it yourself?

tonight i'll heat up a serving of mac'n'cheese with Lil Smokies, and add some ketchup over the top of it. some raw carrot/celery pieces with blue cheese salad dressing as dip, and a slice of peanut pie for dessert! :yummy:

I may go vegetarian tonight. I haven't quite decided. I tend to go veggie at least twice a week.

muffy muffy Did you like Book Club? I'd like to see it when it comes out on OnDemand. I like the main characters.

I took some bone-in chicken thighs from the freezer this morning and stuck them in the fridge. They'll spend a couple hours in a marinade and then I'll grill them. I made a bit of pasta salad to go with our Reubens last night: rotini, celery, pepper chunks, chunks of Cheddar, tomatoes, etc. with Italian dressing poured over all. We'll have leftover salad with our chicken tonight. With a few homemade sugar cookies.

Yes, I enjoyed Book Club. It was not as funny as I thought it was going to be. There was one scene involving viagra that I thought was hilarious.

Last night I had a fruit salad I picked up at Safeway. I am not a gourmet cook like you guys are.

I had brisket on split dinner rolls with country gravy for breakfast. Lunch was leftover brisket and roasted veggies, same as dinner last night.

I'm about "brisketed out", so I'll just make a brisket and cheese slider on a dinner roll here and there this evening.

I sliced, wrapped and froze 2.5 pounds and kept the remaining .5 pounds of sliced brisket in the fridge for tomorrow.

Tonight is sliced brisket, steamed buttered broccoli with lemon, oven-roasted veggies (red potatoes, onions and carrots), and some fresh homemade dinner rolls.

LOL, you need to be careful posting these pictures! I'm not sure how much more drool my keyboard can take! NO NO NO...keep posting them! I'll buy a cover for it...I can use the inspiration.

Tonight? I dunno. I may just thaw out a couple of my Mexican meatloaf muffins and heat a can of green beans.

Tonight I am having veggie pasta (zucchina & spinach) a full serving of vegetables. I'm also having Rinaloi sauce with the pasta. I know most people will turn their nose up with a jar of pasta sauce but the Rinaloi is very good.

Our picnic was really good and the weather was lovely. Pulled pork, crock pot beans, potato salad, fresh fruit, the sugar cookies I made on Sunday. I made a crock of lemonade and some iced tea (can't wait for the mint to come in, so I can clip fresh leaves for mint tea).

I tried a recipe from King Arthur for Berry Tiramisu and everybody loved it.

Tonight, we are having leftovers. Rick put most of the leftover pulled pork and beans in the freezer, but saved just enough for the two of us for dinner.

Spaghetti again. Sinuses giving me fits, and it is SO easy! With sauce and pasta precooked and frozen, I can go from "UM...I'm hungry" to "Dinner's ready" in 6 minutes flat, and MOST of that time is waiting for a pan of water to reheat the spaghetti to boil.

Tonight I'm just going to steam some veggies and call it a done deal. I'm feeling uninspired to the max.

HOWEVER...Saturday will be shopping day, and I found a recipie for apricot bread pudding in one of my cozy mysteries, so I may pick up the ingredients for that!

Right now I'd like to skewer a certain black cat in my household and grill him on the barbeque. I had to buy a new 1.1 gallon sprayer of Roundup because I left the old one outside last winter and the battery compartment rusted. So the new sprayer was sitting by the door, ready to use, and that black cat chewed the sprayer cord in two. Now I will have to go buy another sprayer. I will have 3.3 gallons of Roundup to use up. I've got lots of weeds, but sheesh, how long will it take to use it all?
