You can also see if she will lick a little bit of butter off your finger. Unsalted if you have it, but if not, salted will be ok. this is for lubrication as mentioned in post #14. Did you manage to find any of the items mentioned in that post. Even my picky eater will lick the hairball gel off my finger, and that's why our Vet recommended when he was constipated.

She's asleep atm
I saw her in the litter tray again straining
Nothing came out not even wee

If you think that she is not urinating, keep a watch on if she does or not. The straining still might be from the constipation, but you need to know if there is a urinary problem which could be an emergency. A hairball paste which is made for cats specifically should be fine.

She's asleep. Been. Asleep lomg time so I've not woken her for lactoluse
She's had so much of it, surely it should work by now
I can't understand why vet only did 1 enema and left half of the poop still inside . Now she's bunged up again

How long does the hairball paste take to work

That's if she will try it
First I have to order it and wait for delivery, that could take few days
Not sure how much longer I should wait
The vet I disliked him,

Hairball paste is not a fast working laxative. It introduces some lubricants and other ingredients into the system which makes hairballs easier to come out. I use it on a cat who has problems with constipation and who takes Miralax regularly. The hairball paste is a back up support and she does not have hairballs.

Our vet had us give Miralax (or equivalent) along with the hairball gel, and our cat was able to poop after a day or two. However, we were told to increase both the amount of miralax AND hairball gel until it worked. Normally you would give the hairball gel every few days and we were told to give it every day until the constipation resolved. I would suggest you call around to some pharmacies tomorrow when they are open and ask them of they have that Polyethylene glycol 3350 in powder form, then see if a friend can take you over there to buy some since it seems like you don't drive or have access to a vehicle, unless there is a pharmacy within walking distance..

I am glad she went! DEFUNITELY order soem Miralax, or it's equivalent, sometimes it is teh only thing taht works for my cats. !/4 teaspoon. I mix it in a small amount of water and then add Delectable Lickables. They are great for giving meds and to get a sick cat to eat. You might want to get some DMG, available online, a bottle lasts a long time. I give it to my cats everyday, they have leukemia. It builds up the immune system. i give it in the lickable treat. She most likely will feel better if she gets rid of that cat cold. my cats haven't had it since I started them on that and they used to get that cat cold all the time. Encourage lots of water too, set small bowls or cups around and she will get curious and check them out. ( 9 out of 10 times they will drink too1) All the luck!

What is dmg?
I can't find miralax in uk
She's tried to go again but nothing came out
2 poos in 6 days not Great
Not eating a lot
She follows, me in the kitchen as if to say I want feeding. I've opened 5 different foods all wet and she walked off
So frustrating
She's had 3 colds in 3 months. Indoor cat too
The other cats not had a cold
Strange
Whst are delectable lickables?
In UK there's webbox licks
I tried her on them walked off
I tried tuna macketal prawns shrimp. Webbox had a sniff and left

It's all very frustrating
I'm. Sure she's still got lots more poo in her
I'm scratched to death as she hates me going near her mouth

DMG is an immune supplement to help cats stay healthy. I have tried L-lysine several times which is another supplement, my cats still got colds. Try to find a lickable treat she likes to give meds. I get both DMG and Delectables in the stew flavors on Amazon, Target, and Walmart online. You could try pet med sites if you don’t have those companies.

It sounds like it wouldn't come in time. Go to your pharmacy and ask for Polyethylene Glycol and see if they have anything. I don't know what bisacodil is. It may be under another name. I give 1/4 tsp. twice a day mixed in a small amount of lickable treat. will she drink a small amount of tuna juice?
I haev been giving my cats DMG to keep them healthy for going on 5 years now. It has worked!
