Sorry for the small pictures! I resized them wrong!

My super awesome SS was EnzoLeya. She sent many cute things, and Nova has got to be the most spoiled kitty ever.

"Is this one for me, Meowmy?" (That one was actually for me!)

"Something here is for me, I can smell it!"

For Nova: catnip mouse, big crinkle ball, pack of small crinkle balls, kitty treats, and 3 mice crocheted by my wonderful SS! They're so cute, I'm afraid to let Nova play with them!

For me: a digital photo keychain (red), "santa claws" socks (black & red), and the lovely geodes I received a while back. And as a special surprise, my Secret Santa's mom printed up some photos of Nova for me and made really cute Nova address labels and gift tags. I plan to frame the large photo of Nova!

You're very welcome! I was hoping you would like everything! Nova is so cute! Our cats have been....OK with the mice, it's just Thor who rips them apart

I got home late last night, and a package was waiting for me!!

There's only one Heidi I know of in Colorado, so I knew right away who my secret santa was...valanhb!!

I didn't even think about light siding it

...I opened mine this morning.

Forest helped me open the box.


There was a whole lot of stuff in there, but he made sure I got everything out.


Here's what was in the box:


One said to open it last, so I put it aside. First I found some adorable decorated mittens with kitty toys in them! Forest immediately saw the white pouffy ball and knew it must have been especially for him!!! He grabbed it right out of my hand and took off with it.

Tailer looked so left out that I tossed him one of the cute mouse toys. He loved it, and has already lost it under the couch.

I could tell that Heidi did a lot of research here. In the box was:
The white pouffy ball, adorable mice and another ball for the boys to play with
Two glow-in-the-dark cat balls (that Forest is going to love tonight...he's forever losing his toys in the dark and then coming to meow at us about it)
Two lovely pink reusable shopping bags that help support breast cancer research while helping the environment
A soft, cozy pretty pink plaid throw (which will get a LOT of use...I'm forever cold since they put me on the blood thinners)
The cutest santa rubber ducky!
A box full of yummy homemade cookies, peppermint kisses, and Reese's bells
A pretty Christmas mug
Hot cocoa in two flavors
Candy cane tea
Godiva dark chocolate mints
A pink shower puff (I needed a new one)
Four wonderful smelling Yankee Candles

As instructed I waited to open the one marked last. I'm glad she told me, because as soon as I opened it I started crying. It was one of Renovia's beautiful sculptures...a tribute to my Harvey, who went to the bridge last new year's eve.



My picture doesn't really do it justice. It's hard to believe that such a simple sculpture could capture Harvey's sweet, gentle soul, but somehow it does. I don't have words for how much it means to me.

Here's everything unwrapped (except for the mouse that's under the couch and two balls that I couldn't get away from the boys):


Thank you, thank you, thank you, Heidi!!! You're such a generous and thoughtful secret santa!

I'm SO glad you like everything!!! The shopping bags were actually the first things I got because they are PINK and going for a good cause (my mother passed from breast cancer...I had a really hard time not filling up your parcel with Breast Cancer Awareness stuff since you said your favorite color was pink

). I saw the Santa Ducky and had to get it for you, even though you said you especially liked regional Santa stuff. It was just too cute not to get! And the pink plaid flannel throw was just too perfect, especially being in cold Illinois! The Celestial Seasonings Tea (in Candy Cane flavor) is actually made here in Colorado, just a hop skip and a jump away from me in Boulder. All natural and oh so yummy!

As soon as I saw your name, I knew I had to order the Harvey angel.

I know how much I adore Renovia's sculptures, and I just hoped that it wouldn't seem too presumptuous to send. Renovia really outdid herself...I found pictures of Harvey on the site and sent them to her for inspiration. I cried when I opened the box she sent it in.

I knew you would too so I made sure to clearly mark that box. I'm glad it was received in the spirit it was sent. I know you will never forget Harvey, and that he meant so much to you. He's a beautiful angel always with you, and now you have a physical Harvey Angel.

It was truly a joy to shop for you, Tari! I'm so glad you had almost as much fun opening everything as I did shopping, and I'm so glad Tailor and Forest liked their presents too!

Speaking of Secret Santa packages...I got another one from my Secret Santa! No clues in this one, though...I don't think. Just a little card that said "From a Secret Santa"

I had vultures before I even opened the box. Seriously...I brought it upstairs and had all 5 cats in the bedroom. I opened it, saw it was something 'nip related, brought the box with me after taking out a couple pieces of newspaper wrapping to get the camera. The cats took the newspaper to parts unknown.

Buncha 'nip fiends!

Here's what I got, kinda. I couldn't get two black kitty heads out of the picture.


A catnip roll, two honeysuckle toys, and a super cute tote that says "I don't do mousework!"

Here's the snuggie (I don't know if that's what it really is, but that's what I'm calling it). Trent was even ready to go to blows over it, and that's saying a LOT because he's usually a wuss!


He won this standoff with Ginger too




But he knocked it off the bed and Mojo got it and went to town (excuse the mess...it's time to vacuum, just haven't done it yet)


So I gave Trent a honeysuckle mouse and he loved it! The other honeysuckle toy went to Annie who was playing with it and disappeared with it to parts unknown...


Then I gave him back the snuggie and he went insane!!




I gave the snuggie to Ginger, but she's more of a rubby 'nip fiend. She checked it out:


And then decided the smart move would be to guard it from the black cats:

Sometimes the actual name of things escapes me and I make stuff up.

But they ain't cuddling it, that's for sure!
