I only have an hour for lunch and I need all the time I can get to get my 3.5 miles in. If I stop to talk to somebody, then I've lost time. So then I either have to cut my walk short or I go back in to work late. Either option is not good for me.

foxxycat foxxycat , I would love to start jogging, but because of my knees, I don't think it's a good idea.

Monday -
1 mile on the treadmill
13 of 13 hours with 250+ steps

Tuesday -
1.25 miles on the treadmill
13 of 13 hours with 250+ steps

Wednesday -
No treadmill as I had a horrible headache
13 of 13 hours with 300+ steps

So far today -
2 miles on the treadmill

Knee hasn't changed. It still hurts, no better, but no worse either. I'm wearing the knee brace on the treadmill (when I remember to put it on).

Winchester Winchester I am sorry your knee is still hurting. I took yesterday as my rest day. Today I am going to do my half hour walk. Left my earbuds in truck again so gonna walk out to get them around 10ish. That's about 200 steps out and back LOL.

My left knee is not hurting as much but I have to stretch my calves/shins more as walking seems to act up those muscles..I should invest in a hot tub but I HATE hot water baths! I get headaches and my heartrate speeds up in those things..now give me a lukewarm lake to swim in and I am all over it..go figure!

Anyways my plan is to walk at lunch and do upper body at the gym then mr Jon says to me last night that I need to rake my yard and get the gardens going. I said yes but it was pouring rain out. the ground is too saturated to do anything with. I said I will work on it this weekend. He said he can do it-I said no. Last time you did that you pulled up all my bee balm. I said leave it I will do it on Sat. GRRR. I don't like other people touching my plants..he tends to be heavy handed and pulls out all the babies that are coming up. Anyways gym tonight and I hope your knee stops hurting soon!

I can't remember the last time I posted in this thread.

I've been doing lots of yoga and a bit of bike riding.

The sun came out today, so I spent all day outside. I managed to get a roll of wire link fencing, so spent the day attaching it to the top of the enclosure fence, weaving the deer net to it and then cutting off the excess net.

It takes ages but it looks much better than the deer netting. Hopefully it's going to hold up much better under snow, so I won't have to worry about the fence collapsing every winter.

It's a long slow process, but I'm planning on finishing some time this year. Too tired for yoga this evening, I think I'll have a hot bath and an early night instead.

Good work, ladies! Keep going!

On Thursday, in addition to the treadmill, I got 13 of 13 hours with 250+ steps.

2 miles on the treadmill this morning.

I keep forgetting to post in this thread. Spring has sprung and there are so many things I need to do. I've been spending a lot of time outside with repairing the fence. Bought myself a pair of bolt cutters which is making the job easier.

I've been trying to do 90 minutes to 2 hours of yoga a day too.

I'm so tired! Can't wait until I've got the fence fixed, the deck painted, the garden planted and can finally sit outside and relax.

I'm here, too, but didn't want to be the only one posting.

I didn't do the treadmill this week as the knee pain really kicked in again. I finally called my family doctor, who wanted me to come back in for another appt. I said I wanted an appt with a ortho-weenie. I had done everything my family doctor told me to do and I'm tired of dealing with it. Let's get it fixed, whatever it takes, let's get it done. They haven't called me back with the appt yet and, according to my insurance, I need them to refer me.

So starting on Wednesday, I've been pushing it a bit, just not on the treadmill. I've managed 10,000 steps and 13 of 13 hours with 300+ steps for both days. It's not much, but right now, it's the best I can do.

We just keep on keeping on.

Sorry it's been a crappy hectic week. I didn't go to the gym mon-tue-wed but yesterday did 45 min on bike.

mon and tue did 30 min walk on my lunch break.

Yesterday spent 15 min raking up leaves. My foot still bothering me so I only wanted to get the big pile of leaves off the spreading phlox before the rains came.

Ouch Winchester Winchester That sounds painful. How long will it take to get an appointment with a specialist?

I've been averaging about two hours of yoga a day. I'm spending a lot of time working on the fence. It's not exactly heavy, but it's awkward to handle and I'm getting stiff shoulders from working with my hands up above my head. It looks so much better than the netting though. I'll posts some pictures when I'm done.

I have the day of tomorrow and really want to spend it cleaning and painting the deck, but Mr Husband says I need a day away from the house and wants to go hiking instead.

After arguing with my family doctor, I have an appointment with an ortho-weenie next Monday, May 1. I really do think it's meniscus, but we shall see.

Keep going, ladies! Norachan, I agree with Mr. Husband....give yourself a day off, just for you and him. And enjoy!
Foxxycat, I'm so sorry that you still have foot pain.

still poking along.
last week did the bike at gym on various days. walked on lunch a couple of days.
last night did an hour at gym. 8.8 miles on bike and quick arm exercises. was dragging because I didn't eat before working out.

today going to walk in the rain at lunch-it doesn't look bad out..if it's raining-will do the stairs .

Winchester get better! Me-it's because I keep doing too much. I can't run yet. I really like sprinting but it hurts my feet for WEEKS. So I am instead walking up and down hills...grrr...why did I spend my adult years being lazy? ok done whining..for this second...stay strong everyone!!

I'm proud of you both for keeping at it in spite of the aches and pains and low blood sugar and dodgy weather.

I went for that hike yesterday. You and Mr Husband were right Winchester Winchester It did me good to get away from the house. Just a 90 minute hike and then about an hour of yoga when I got back home.

Spent most of today working outside on the fence, then another hour of yoga after that.

I did 90 minutes of yoga and about 30 minutes on my bike yesterday.

I spent all day working outside today. Got the deck scrubbed and painted and I've finished about half of the enclosure fence now. Managed to give myself a nasty scratch while I was cutting up the wire for the fence.

I don't need a tetanus shot for a scratch from brand new fence wire that's just been cut, do I? I hope not.

:ohwell:

Keep an eye on that scratch, esp since you were working outside, Norachan Norachan . Good job on everything you got done!

Thursday
2 miles on the treadmill
16,604 steps = 7.86 miles
13 of 13 hours with 300+ steps (there's a discrepancy between the Fitbit and the app on my phone. My Blaze says I got the hour between 8 and 9 yesterday morning and, in fact, I know I did. But my phone app is saying I didn't get it. I'm taking it; I know I walked during that hour.....I was really careful to get those blasted steps in.)

Today is not going to be good. I didn't get the treadmill because Rick dropped me off to get Clarence, so I had to leave early with him.
