Despite several attempts by the local authorities to discourage our local male stork celebrity to make a nest on a cross monument at the cemetary, he did it again.
I posted some pictures last year.

And these are from this morning. The male stork was foraging for nesting material and bringing branches to the nest, where his female partner was waiting for him. It was heartwarming to see.

I've been scanning some of my old photos, and came across this one of a seal at an aquarium back in the 80's. Back then I didn't give much thought to him being stuck in a pool. Now it makes me sad. But he was still pretty cute, so thought I'd post his pic.

I guess it's better to be stuck in a pool than to be eaten by an orca or a shark.

That's true. And he seemed happy enough popping his head up to say hello. Also, if I recall correctly, he wasn't the only seal they had, so he probably wasn't lonely.
