I love the old school quality of the photo! I'm hoping Tiger will grow to give Big Red a run for his money! Even if not a maine coon, every ginger kitty I've seen has been a big one, probably because the majority are male!.

FaBEAR - When @mwallace056 asked a recent question on the Breeding Forum, I actually considered reviving this thread:I love the old school quality of the photo! Im glad Oliver is feel ing better.Well you asked for it...……...but wait, I was about to flood this with stuff but I'll drip feed instead. I'll start with a vid. It's been on before but what the heck.
Oliver had a spell of illness and went down to just over 17lbs but after using Hill's (God bless em) miracle food, he's back up to about 23lbs now.
I'll read up on that but we don't have a choice really. We tried every type of food for him but nothing was being digested properly and he had the runs all the time with whatever we tried. Now he's on Hill's his stools are as they should be and he seems happier.I latter read it was very high in carbs and although only available thru a vet and fairly expensive was poorly rated in terms of nutritional quality.

Afraid so but I'd love to give him different things for a treat. Even if he somehow manages to grab a bit, and I mean a bit, of something otherwise benign to most cats, he's off again running to the loo. Then hills it is.
Wonderful looking cat family you have there! The weights are really helpful!Well, I have one Maine Coon and his four half Maine Coon daughters. The mother was a tiny domestic short hair (about 5lbs), it was an accidental litter.

Jasper is awesome! I do love his colouring. Tiger seems to be laid back too. I'm going on hols next week and my sister is going to mind him and I'm worried he won't settle but we socialised him when we got him by bringing him places so hoppeully he'll be ok!Jasper, my sister's Maine Coon. I believe he's around 5 years old and weighs roughly 15 or 16 lbs. I don't know if MC's are known to be a laid back breed, but Jasper is so mellow. He goes with my sister and her husband in their motor home and just loves it. Nothing seems to stress him out for very long.View attachment 250947
That was a good idea getting Tiger used to different places early on. He probably doesn't immediately freak out when he sees the cat carrier. He'll just think he's going on an adventure.Jasper is awesome! I do love his colouring. Tiger seems to be laid back too. looking at your profile pic if your kitty isn't at least half maine coon I'd eat my hat. that's a maine coon if I ever saw one.Yes I thought the MC crowd here seems few and far between. I live in Ireland and I have never seen a maine coon in real life. Either they're not that common here or more likely they're all indoor cats. Another reason the vet thinks Tiger is a maine coon other than his features and personality is that he was abandoned with Maine coon sized food (giant kibble!), a vaccination cert for only indoor cat vaccine and, well a note that said he son was very allergic and she could not keep him. (he purring and remaining calm and happy while getting his check up and shots!)
So I would love to see and hear from other MC owners!
