what day can you bring Felix home? Saturday?
Of course you will!I'll be talking about this for the rest of my life!
When I treated my cat, I was told that any other vet visit should have been postoponed by at least 4 weeks to allow any residual radiation to die out. Now, all that's left to fix are his teeth. He'll need a root canal. I don't know if it can wait 3 months but we'll see how things go.
Grasias!Estoy feliz de ver que todo fue bien para ti y tu gatito. Eso es maravilloso.
I hope your cat is healthy enough for treatment. Felix has been doing okay but is vomiting a lot for some reason. I think it's because he's been off the pills for so long. It'll take a while for his T4 to stabilize.Wonderful to read your story. I hope Felix is feeling better now.
My cat Mikka will hopefully undergo the same treatment soon. There are many clinics in the UK but they won't take him unless he can be stabilised with the pills. But the pills have cut his appetite and he keeps losing weight. He also looks rather sad and doesn't vocalise as much as in the past. Luckily no vomiting and the initial diarrhoea went after I gave him Hill's digestive dry food. He also has pancreatitis which doesn't help. His first blood test is in two weeks' time and hopefully, he will be stabilised by then.
Please let us know how long it takes for the iodine treatment to be effective on Felix.
Good to hear that Cole is back. I hope the beneficial effects of the therapy will appear soon.I just brought Cole home today from his treatment. He is SO happy to be home and we're happy to have him back, too! I gave him so much cuddling.
He's good as far as I can see. He did vomit a few times but that happened a lot before we knew about the thyroid issue. He hasn't vomited in about a week or more. He's back to sleeping in my bed. He isn't scheduled for blood work yet so I have to wait and see what his levels are saying. He has gained quite a bit of weight over the past few weeks. I hope he can keep it on because he's been a concerning skinny for majority of his life.Hi. Just wondering hoe Felix is doing? I know when my Onyx came home from I-131 the first 4 weeks were a little unsettling for her (and me).
I'm so sorry, deeply sorrySo good to hear about Felix's progress. The weight gain is particularly good news.
Sadly, the thyroid medicine unmasked my Mikka's kidney failure. He had a massive crisis last week and passed away on Saturday.
As a matter of fact, this should ALWAYS be the starting dosage, and it could be adjusted it later if needed.I have now read a veterinary article suggesting that, when kidney failure is a possibility, the cure for thyroid should start with one 1.25 pill a day to see the effects.
