Yes, it's funny how cats seem to have an innate ability to name themselves- but that's only if we pay attention to what they are telling us.
I always watch to see if the kitty responds to whatever name I try out. If they don’t, I keep trying out names until they do respond. So, I guess all the kitties here chose their own names. Lol IFF made a sort of uff sound and when I imitated it, he came running. I don’t know what it meant in cat language but in human it meant a flying kitty!Yes, it's funny how cats seem to have an innate ability to name themselves- but that's only if we pay attention to what they are telling us.
Oh I like Shaksie even better than Shakey!Shakespeare’s nickname has become Shaksie.
I like that one too, it sounds nice.Chesapeake is called Chessie
Damien is a classy name. Not sure about the rest of it though.Damien Wayne Sprout
Maggie gets called Beautiful more than her own name. She even answers to it. Demi answers to Baby cause he's my lil baby.I always watch to see if the kitty responds to whatever name I try out.
LOL, yeah, I love that one!He even relaxed on his back to show his Timmy
Hugs for youLOL, yeah, I love that one!
OK, guys, I have some very sad news. Nieto disappeared two weeks ago. A few days after that, one of the neighbors went to the gas station very late at night. The roadway was clear. On the way back, she saw a small orange body in the road, but...it was too severe to recognize. She said it had to be a direct hit, because there was NO traffic out at all. I waited and waited, hoping, but...five days ago Scamper, who was also MIA, came limping up for breakfast. He had abrasions on both right feet, and his right ear was scabbed. I think that little Nieto was following him. Scamper was able to dodge, and just got sideswiped, but Nieto, with his bad leg, couldn't move fast enough. I am so mourning him. And I haven't seen Scamper again. I hope that he's just lying up, and coming to eat at odd hours. I keep food out all night now, just in case. I can't, just can't have lost them both to the same car! Prayers, vibes, good wishes for Scamper, please. I know that Nieto is safe now, and with his mama again.
Speaking of care packages, I got those Waterless Levi jeans with my bday money! I love them, but you were right, they do look a bit beat up from the golf balls, bottle caps, stones, whatever they used to wash them without water. Also got a thermal waffle shirt! The kitties here got a care package!
Hmmm. Is that how you get a prince? If this is a magic box, I would like a Kodiak prince
You got it!good wishes for Scamper, please.
I picked the darkest wash they had, but they still look pretty faded. Hopefully they come out with a Rinse color. That's where they dunk the jeans back in the dye after washing. You have to be careful of the color running on other clothes though. That is something that I have never understood- people paying good money, sometimes even paying extra- for jeans that look like they have had the snot beat out of them.
Seems like the kitties enjoyed the box more than the contents. Typical. If Lady climbs in, you know what to do. Slap my address on there and proceed.I opened it again and Mackie appeared!
Be careful while out there and take care!...............but I am now searching the swamp for a missing kitten and two other cats....................
