I called again to get news, and Leyia's condition seems stable. The diarrhea is slowly going away, and she demanded hugs and attention from the vets and vet tech all day. I will call again tomorrow morning, and will keep you updated. I can't help but think she's got a good chance!

I would love to get her back on Saturday morning, otherwise it means she's going to spend the week-end at the vet. Welcome to France, where everything is closed from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning...
I'm waiting for the vet to open (5:30AM here), I took a nap yesterday around 7:00PM, and ended up sleeping until 2:30AM.

Thank you for your support! I know I said it already, but without TCS and all of you wonderful people, I don't think I would have gone into fostering. It takes a lot out of me mentally, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to cope, but I discovered I'm stronger than I thought.

I got news from the vet, Leyia is worse than yesterday, she's now in hypothermia
They're doing everything they can. I'll call back this afternoon.

The two vets live directly above their clinic, so I think someone is checking up on the animals overnight, but I'm not sure. I'll ask.

I just got Sandy on the phone, one of the vet tech. She's going to weight and take Leyia's temp, and call me back.
I do know that they gave her a heated pad.
I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I hear back.

I talked to the vet. She's very worried about Leyia. Her temp went back to normal this afternoon, but even though they are syringe feeding her, she's still losing weight. Her prognosis is now "very reserved".

Oh no! Are you able to go in and visit, and perhaps feed her?

Usually you can't visit in the mornings because they're doing surgeries, but I'll call and ask tomorrow morning. They're closed right now.

I forgot about our time differences. Poor Leyia.

I wasn't able to go see Leyia this morning, but I have good news.
Her temp is stable, she can regulate it herself right now. She's eating well, playing, and seems OK, but the vet did say that she seems to decline a little in late afternoon/night.
She did lose another 15gr since yesterday.
So either she's on the mend, or the virus is "waiting".
The vet does check on the animals at night, so I'm going to call on Monday morning, an will go see her on Monday afternoon.
If anything happened during the week-end, they will let me know.

On a side note, I decided not to change her name. Leyia is the name she's fighting for, and I actually grew fonder of it, even with the weird spelling.

Bless her little heart. Does she have a lovey in the cage with her?
If not, would she be allowed one?

Did the vet get the panleuk confirmed?

I don't think she has a lovey, I'll ask if I can bring one.
The vet did say that it's panleuk, but I don't know how she confirmed it.
I thought it was only present in feces for a few days and then you couldn't see it? If not, is there a reliable test for it?

She is fighting and so deserves to get through it . She is a little princess
