This place was a huge colony so I can never be totally sure but a lot of them have similar markings.

Yup, I know what you mean. A lot of mine all came from the same colony, so I'm pretty sure they're all related one way of another. I think I know which ones are siblings, half brothers or sisters or cousins, but you never can tell with cats.

Sophie has been sneezing and scratching, Chicken has had watery eyes, a few of the others have sneezing fits on the very high pollen days, but not others.



At least it's only for a few weeks every year.

Poor kitties! I have allergies myself so I totally sympathize. Everything here is coated in a very thick layer of pollen. The newscast said it’s extremely heavy this year. That may be why our kitties are having trouble. A couple of the kitties have been sneezing and coughing so it isn’t just BJ.

I was looking back at the photos of my colony kitties in order to answer a question today. A whole lot of these kitties look related! I’m sure they are. I know the connections of many of them but the first ones that appeared are a mystery. The kitty that belongs to my neighbor looks a lot like BJ. It makes me wonder about that connection. She has appeared here more than once. Hmmmm. They tell me she is a year older than BJ. I hope they don’t let her wander any more. I also hope they spoke honestly that she is spayed! I’ll be watching!

Poor Sweet Gum! We send our sympathies and love right back! We are hoping the pollen will soon settle a bit. I expect Fall will be similar. Ouch!

BJ is getting lots of comfort from his lady Flowers! This one doesn’t have pollen! I love how close they have stayed, even after being apart for awhile. Maybe she’s the reason he decided to follow me home.

He is feeling a bit better the past couple of days. It’s been kind of chilly so maybe that helped. Less pollen perhaps. Whatever the reason, I’m glad to see him feeling better. I hope the heartworms are lessened. He put on a show when I took his picture tonight. He’s so funny!

We are having a little visit tomorrow. Our visitor is not a cat person but BJ is convinced he can win her over since he has a way with the ladies. He showed me how he is going to do it.

He’s going to imitate a Giraffe to make her laugh. ( That worked on me!)

Show her how handsome he is.....

And what a love bug he is.

He’ll give her a sweet smile....

And sit up like a big teddy bear.

If all else fails he’ll offer her his paw.

Who could resist all that?

I can hardly compare this fellow to the cat that tried to eat me! He’s such a total lover, lamb, show off, ham, comedian and guardian. He is a cat of all trades! Don Juan suits too!
He did impress the visitors. With his guardian skills. He decided to protect me from them and paced, very excitedly, between us. He never let them get more than a few feet from me. His eyes were big and round and he was stepping high! They wanted to know if he was going to pounce. Lol When I told BJ to sit down and be still..... he did. That amazed my company. They thought that cats can’t learn things in the way you could teach a dog. I explained the reality to them. Cats learn very, very well and BJ was guarding his Mom. The visitors ended up asking a great deal about cats. It was an educational day for them. I think it went very well and BJ didn’t have to eat them.

When everyone had left, BJ checked on me to be sure I was okay.

He gave me a love look and then...

He settled back down.....

Gave his girlfriend a rolling bear hug....

Snuggled up with her...

Watched a love story on TV and

Gave Flowers a loving kiss.

He’s so romantic. I love a good kitty love story!
