@Winchester  Ina has a lot of great recipes for many things. She's one of my very favorites. Julia will always be #1 though may she RIP.

@Kat0121, Ina is one of my favorites. I see she is coming out with a new show and it's basically a learning show. No more cooking for friends or for Jeffrey, heavier on technique, I think. It should be good and I'll check it out. I haven't watched Food Network in years.

Yes, we've made beef jerky in the dehydrator. It was quite good...we were surprised.

Have you ever made Floating Island? (yum)

No I haven't

I've made 'poke cake', cake that you've made holes in the top of and poured warm Jello liquid over. The Jello sets inside the cake when you refrigerate it. Have you made this?

Yes. MANY years ago.

Have you made a Jello mold with Cool Whip and fruit? (Another staple from back in the day)

No I haven't. Will you send me the recipe in a private message please?

Have you made Watergate Salad? It might have another name, but where I live that's what it's called.

You can also make a poke cake with instant pudding. A yellow cake with chocolate pudding is delicious. You spoon the pudding into the holes in the cake, then frost the cake with the pudding that's left. I think it was called "Stripe-it-Rich" cake. Something like that.

I have not made Watergate Salad because we don't care for pistachios.

Have you ever made a layered vegetable salad? I love a good 7-layer salad.

I make an almond nut brittle and then sprinkle sea salt over the top as soon as I pour it out of the pan onto the cookie sheet. The combination of sweet and salty is decadent!

Have you ever made a peanut butter pie?

No,  I haven't. You must be a gourmet baker.

Croquembouche? I think it was Denice or Kat0121 who talked about a Croquembouche when I was looking for a neat dessert last year at Christmas. I wanted to do it then, but it just didn't fit into my time frame. I think it's gorgeous and still want to try to make one.

I have not made Salade Nicoise.

Have you ever made your own Hot Cross Buns? I'll be making them this weekend for my MIL.
