I've helped. My husband has made wine before and makes beer fairly regularly.

Have you ever made ice cream?

Have you ever made ice cream?
Yes, once, more than 40 years ago. I helped my mom with her ice cream machine. It was a lot of work for a relatively small amount of ice cream, but it was good. Lemon ice cream.

Ever cook calamari (squid)? I'm eating some right now, with pasta, tomato, hot pepper and lemon-butter.

Yes, tea-smoked. So good!

Ever make "norteno" Mexican roast chicken? So good . . .

No

Have you ever cooked tripe soup? Husband used to make it & it's actually good.
No, though I have had menudo, which contains it. (Ick! Sorry . . . )

Ever make kung pao chicken from scratch without "tinned" ready-made sauce? It's really good, if you get it right.

No, I am a vegetarian.

Ever made ice cream?
My mom and I did, decades ago with ice cream machine someone got her for Christmas. Good, but so much work, she bought ever since.

Ever have hominy? It's so good, even for us northern folks . . .

Probably. I cannot remember all the things I've eaten.

Do you make your own pizza dough? I know Pam does.

No, though my mom did. (We needed a pizza oven though!)

Ever make your own pasta for northern Italian food? I have and it's good, though a lot of work.

No. I probably wouldn't go to all that effort for one or two people. Especially when one of them is DD. Not much impresses her. She would not appreciate the effort. I might if the other person actually appreciated it. The first person is me of course.

Have you ever made homemade pasta sauce in a crock pot? I have. So easy and so good.

I have made soft pretzels but not sourdough ones.

Have you ever cooked something specifically for your cats? I individually wrap and freeze chicken breasts and thighs and roast them to chop up and use as toppers for meals or snacks. They love it !

No. Although whenever I bake any kind of poultry, I do share the meat with our clan (as long as it's not real spicy, that is).

Have you ever prepared your own horseradish?

No but I do love horseradish. I've been known to eat it out of the jar with a spoon.

Have you ever made Julia Child's recipe for French onion soup? I want to one of these days. I miss Julia. They don't make them like her anymore.
