Ireland -
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil has been recalled in Ireland after being made in an unregistered establishment.
Hugold CBD Oils were recalled after they were processed at a site were operations had not been reported to authorities.

Canada Recall -
Following a consumer complaint, Loblaw Companies Ltd. is recalling PC brand Lemon & Ginger Sicilian Soda from the marketplace because of the possible presence of glass.
The company reports that the soda was sold nationwide in Canada, according to a recall notice posted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
“Do not consume recalled products,” the recall notice advises. “Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.”

Another warning about covid tests. To the best of my knowledge. this is for a different test than the one reported in post #263, p. 14.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning people not to use the E25Bio COVID-19 Direct Antigen Rapid Test (DART). This test has not been authorized, cleared, or approved by the FDA for distribution or use in the United States, and it may include false labeling representing that the test is authorized by the FDA. The E25Bio COVID-19 Direct Antigen Rapid Test (DART) may also be sold under the trade name E25Bio SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Kit.

and another one - one wonders why the FDA okays the tests only to recall them when they start distributing them. This is really very odd.

SD Biosensor is recalling its STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Home Test in the United States, due to confirmed reports that the test kits were illegally imported into the United States. The STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Home Test is not authorized, cleared or approved by the FDA for distribution or use in the United States. There is no known distribution of these tests directly to consumers.

Golden Medal Mushroom Inc. of Los Angeles, CA is recalling all cases of its 200g/7.05-ounce packages of Enoki Mushrooms, lot # 300511, product of China, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The recalled Enoki Mushroom has the lot # 300511. Product was distributed directly in Chicago, IL in January 2022, and it has been further distributed to retail stores nationwide.

We have two E. coli outbreaks. The first one hasn't been pinpointed or sourced. I'll put the addy which you can use to get direct emails* and I will keep a look out for updates. The second one is below.

In another outbreak, this one involving E. coli O157:H7, the FDA is conducting sample analysis in relation to illnesses traced to Nature’s Basket Power Greens and Simple Truth Organic Power Greens. Ten people from four states have been confirmed as outbreak patients, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Alerts and recalls - Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and US. This is a summary. You might want to scan through it and be sure you didn't miss anything. Yes, the plums are on it, but there are other things as well.

Expiry 10/30/2023 of The Red Pill, packaged in 10-count blisters packaged in a carton to the consumer level. Southern US --
A new strain of Avian influenza that was present in Europe, only last year, is reported in the southern states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida.

Bird flu strains rarely infect humans, with fewer than 1,000 U.S. cases per year, according to the Mayo Clinic. The strains of the influenza virus mainly infect birds. The public must not handle sick or dead birds. People should report sightings of birds killed to wildlife officials.
Human infections typically result from person-to-person contacts, such as a cough or a sneeze, in two to eight days, with flu-like symptoms.
The HPAI virus is not easily transmissible from birds to people. Still, health officials are concerned it could develop into another form that spreads readily from person to person, triggering another pandemic.

In these uncertain times I think it's best if everyone can get the information on this thread delivered to their emails. Below are the addies that send me the information I've been using, scroll down to the bottom of the first page and sign up for alerts if you wish. The FDA site has dozens of choices so you'll just have to go there and choose if you want.

Be warned these sites have a lot to offer and you can easily spend more time on them than you wish.
