A bougainvillea isn't acually a tree, but it behaves like one. Here it's branching all over the lillypilly, with an olive behind. Dying off in the middle unfortunately.. I should have photographed it when it was in full 'flight'.
Glad you like it. It only flowers for a very brief period, which is a shame. It used to be bushier than that but a workman dropped a big radiator on it so halved its size. It came back quite well though.Yikeadoodle!

In sunny weather they were closed, just a decorative addition. But when it rained they were opened up to shelter the peonies from acting like blotting paper and flopping over in the rain.
