Isn't it funny that in Italian, "bat" is translated as "pipistrello", with no other term to call them but their Order's name, "chirotteri" (chiroptera)?I love bats, I do bat monitoring during the summer to record what species we have around here.
Locally we have common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles, noctules, Daubenton's, and brown long-eared bats.
