I just now clicked on More Options and see I am still checked to Watch this thread. There is no "unwatch thread" above the first post in this thread. There IS "Watch Thread" there, but I'm already shown as watching it. So I repeat: If I uncheck "Watch this thread," how to I save that, since...
Every time I post, I'm automatically logged to follow the thread. I know to go to Options, and uncheck "follow" but it does not "take," and I keep on getting emails. How to I un-follow a thread, and how to do NOT follow a particular thread in the first place?
Weird cat "food" -- well, my present Blackie doesn't eat weird food. But I had a cat a long time ago that did. I lived in Southern Calif. USA then, and there was a huge avocado tree in the back yard. She used to eat the inside of the avocados. Not the skin. Just the avocado "meat." But you...
Thanks, Blakeney, well, Blackie is eating some wet food now. I read the articles about transitioning and timed feeding times, and am working on that, rather than having kibble out ALL the time. I'll leave food out this afternoon because I'll be gone for several hours.
Well, that makes sense -- I know that for teachers, some kids will do "bad things" to get ANY attention. So it makes sense that cats/animals could be the same mind-set.
I've been saying NO really loud, and then she jumps down off the shelf. She has lots of scratchers, all over the apartment already. So it sounds like you recommend "neutrally" removing her from the bookshelf without saying No?
My four year old new cat Blackie has taken up a new "fun" thing she does. She jumps up on the bookshelf, above which is a large, framed photograph behind glass. Blackie scritches her claws on the glass. I'm afraid she might knock the picture on the floor. She might get hurt, and the glass...
Blackie ate some canned food this morning, too. I read the article about transitiioning, and in it is a link to timed feeding. So I am going to train her to eat at certain times of day. These are excellent and informative articles. Wow. She ate some more canned food this morning, too. I...
Thanks for your reply! I just Replied to abyeb that Blackie just now ate some wet food. Hope she will eat more of it overnight. Hope your white kitty will learn to eat wet food, too.
Thank you! I will definitely read the article! Sounds like just the info I need for Blackie. But guess what - she just ate some wet food. It's b.f.f. Tuna and Pumpkin Valentine in Gravy. I put a small spoonful back in her bowl after I washed the bowl. Maybe she will eat that tonight. It's...
My four year old kittie, Blackie, that I adopted about 2 months ago, is a sweetie pie. She's a great cat and very affectionate. I feed her a very high quality dry food made by Acana, and she likes it. But she will not eat ANY canned food. I have tried several different healthy brands, and...
There's a breed that has ears that fold forward. It's called a Scottish fold. Maybe she's got some cross breeding with a cat that is that breed. I've never seen one, so I don't know if the breed's ears are thickened or not. Just a wild idea.
I adore cats, as we all do here. About a year ago, my two died in the same week. I located two more cats from a wonderful woman who has a cattery. She used to provide adopt-a-cats to Petco. I got her contact info from the Petco in my neighborhood. Now she and I are friends, but that's not...
Hi -- I agree with the others who say it's maybe b /c Molly is feeling more at home. This has been true for so many of my cats. They wander in, or have been fostered or in a shelter, and wow. They are so cuddly and sweet! Then, they "settle down" and do their own thing.
Right now, I'm training...
I need a mat to train my cat to stay off the kitchen counter and table. The pet stores in my area do not have them, and recommend Amazon.com. But the only ones can find at Amazon are somewhere like 48 inches long, or 60 inches long. I need one 28", one 26" and one about 44". Any idea what to...
Here's my experience/Info on good scoopers, and a different sort of cat litter. For a scooper, I had a metal one from the pet supply store and it rusted. I've replaced it with two tools for scooping. I bought a stainless steel slotted vegetable server for the clumps, and a large stainless...
Hello! I'm looking for a forum or thread for people are new to cllicker training cats. Anyone know of such a forum or thread? If I start a new thread here on that topic, which forum topic would you suggest I post it to?
