Advice - 16 Yr Old Cat With Hyperthyroidism And Only Eating Gravy

I had a cat with hyperthyroidism, she was 18. She never had any teeth issues, but she couldn't walk and as it got worse, she couldn't even move. She died a few years ago. I do have an older cat now with teeth issues, and I would definitely suggest taking those teeth out, as you can't for sure...

Can A Landlord Require An Esa To Be Declawed??

If the rules for that apartment say no cats, then he can say no cats. He absolutely can tell you that you can't have a cat, but if you provide all needed papers hat prove he is a service animal, then they shouldn't be able to refuse that.

    Uti? Help Please!

I would definitely call the vet, this could easily be something serious. Depending on what exactly the meds are for, that's something you should consider giving him.

    Shaving Matted Fur

Be careful if you bathe him though, some cats don't need it because of their fur type, (it can dry out their skin) and most hate it, so you will likely get lots of scratches. I never give my cats a bath, but that's just me. :)

    Sleeping With Kitten?

Thanks everyone! When he was littler, he had a fluffy unicorn stuffed animal that he cuddled with. Now that he has gotten bigger, he wants to be with someone and hates to be locked up, he's a sweet little snuggly thing. I actually did sleep with him last night and he was fine, though I slept...

    Rabbit Attacks Cat?

Luckily, he hasn't tried to kick. He just bites and chases her around.

    Sore On Cats Ear

In my personal experience and opinion, one of my cats got sores on his ears, and I found out it was a type of worm, ringworm. I treated it easily with neosporin when it was bleeding, and athletes foot cream or coconut oil when it wasn't bleeding. (though coconut oil is controversial on wether it...

    Rabbit Attacks Cat?

That makes sense. I have guinea pigs as well and have noticed that they do that too. Any ideas on how to stop it? He loves hopping around freely and tries desperately to escape if he is locked in his cage. She doesn't like to be outside much, she goes out only occasionally, though I never force...

    Cutest Color For A Cat

What would you consider the cutest color for a cat? Though looks don't matter at all compared to personality, it's fun to discuss different cat appearances :)

    Sleeping With Kitten?

I have a very affectionate 5 week old rescue kitten. He is about 12 oz, and loves to snuggle and sleep on me. I feel so bad putting him in his cage at night, and I would LOVE to let him sleep with me, but I'm worried that I will roll over or move in some way and hurt him. Anyone have any advice...

Share Your Story Of Adopting A Feral

I found a litter of feral kittens (maybe 5 weeks old?) several years ago. I was only able to catch 1, and I really wanted to keep him. He hissed at everything, he wouldn't let us touch him, and I kept him in a cage so he wouldn't for crazy. I was told it may be months of gentle coaxing before he...

Can A Landlord Require An Esa To Be Declawed??

Technically, if the apartment or place you're renting doesn't allow pets, then he can absolutely say you can't have a cat. (Obviously if our provide all documents required, a service animal is fine) As for the declawing, he shouldn't be able to tell you what to do with your cat, he can suggest...

Help! Mother Cat Is Attacking 2 Month Old Kittens

They should be old enough to be on their own and eating hard food by this age. I agree with the other posts here, I don't think it's much to worry about since they are already 2 months. The hurricane could be stressing her out easily as well. Give her some time, and keep them separated for now.

    Shaving Matted Fur

Can you cut the matted bits with scissors? I have 1 longhair and he rarely gets his hair matted, but when he does, I just snip it out with scissors. It may not look perfect, but it keeps him warm and clean. If you do this though, be careful not to accidentally cut her. keep away from her skin...
