Hello everyone! I am new here. I originally joined to find out the breed of my lovely boy Simba. I found him on the side of the street when he was a kitten and took him in. I am currently a kitty mom of 6. 5 girls and 1 boy. I would love to show/ tell you guys more about my babies!

There you are! Again, welcome! Six is a wonderful number of cats for a family. We have been a large family in the past, but over the years, there are three now, all rescued. Your Simba definitely looks like he has a lot of Maine Coon genes. Here is our beloved Sammi, who left us a few years back. He was 21 and came to our family at 14.

Aw I am so sorry for your loss! Sammi was so beautiful! Was she a Maine Coon?

Yes, he was a Brown Patched Tabby Maine Coon man, rescued as a tiny boy from the mean streets of Beverly Hills (!) by his original family, who needed to rehome him when they became elderly and ill. Their friend, also my friend, got us together. Thank you! There are SO many loved ones up there watching over us, and eventually we will all be reunited.

Sorry, he! My apologies! But that is so amazing. Someone told me my Simba looked like a brown tabby domestic long hair. But I am coming to believe he may just be what your Sammi was. They just look so similar! When I first found Simba he was so short and small I though he was going to be a munchkin! Then he just got huge out of nowhere. Haha

I'm not positive Sammi was "purebred" -- this is what my friend told me. Since "rescued" is my favorite "breed" and my family and I have always done this, I wouldn't care either way. Your Simba does have the conformations and coat coloring, definitely. *Np -- a lot of people think "Sammi" is a female name. It would have been "Sami", a male name, but I did not name him and when I adopt someone who already has a name, I do not change it.*
