Hello Everyone! I am excited to be part of your community. I live in North Carolina, USA and will be getting an adult Cornish Rex the first week of August. She just delivered her 4th and final litter on Tuesday and will be with her babies for 16 weeks before she comes to live with us. She is 4.5 years old and we have re-named her Hollis Finley Colton. She will be sister to three senior Italian greyhounds. Introducing our new girl...

Hello and welcome to TCS. Congrats on your upcoming adoption of Hollis Finley Colton. She's a cutie pie. :catlove:

Since she's going to be having 3 doggie siblings, I'll post the TCS articles on cat and dog introductions in case you might find them helpful.

And obviously you can't change your dogs' breed, but I'll post this one, just for information.

Thank you for the sweet compliments and I appreciate the articles and info on safe introductions. I will definitely read over them. I think with a little time and patience, everyone will be fine together. My guys are small, 11.2#, 11.5#, and 12.5# and old 10.5, 11.5 and 12.5 years old, so they are couch potatoes for the most part. We actually chose a Cornish Rex based on the fact that they are much more "dog-like" than any other cat breed, and very similar to an IG in personality, so fingers crossed over here. I can't wait to learn more about diet and health, as it has been a VERY long time since I have had a feline in my home, and never in my adult life and I am soon to be 38!

Welcome to you, to Hollis Finley Cooper, AND to her doggy siblings (I assume they have names? We'd love to know them, as well)! What are you going to call her? She certainly is a beauty, and I know she'll be happy in her new home!

Welcome to TCS! :wave3: I'm glad you joined the site and look forward to meeting your new Cornish Rex girl, Hollis, when she arrives. As for sharing your home with 3 Italian greyhound dogs we had a german shepherd who was one of our cat's best friends. We used to say she thought she was a dog.

We actually chose a Cornish Rex based on the fact that they are much more "dog-like" than any other cat breed, and very similar to an IG in personality, so fingers crossed over here.
We will be keeping our fingers crossed too but I'm sure with a little time and patience everything will work in your favor. :crossfingers:
