Thanks. I think we are going to go the Brevecto route as my vet thinks that’s the best course. I’ve never used Brevecto so I’m currently reading everything I can about it.

Took a yearly fecal in for Mama cat and it came back positive for Demodex Gatoi. Moon’s fecal is negative (she’s had 2 fecal’s in 3 months), however, since Mama is an indoor only cat and Moon has only been with us for 3 months (indoor only now, but prior history is sketchy), I can’t think of...

I forgot to add that they also used the black light to make sure that it was not ringworm. And it is not ringworm.

My vet is stumped. Did a culture on her ears, it did not show yeast but he’s not convinced that it isn’t yeast. So she’s on gentamicin drops. He thinks that maybe all the antibiotics in the past couple of months may have allowed yeast to grow. He said whatever it is, it’s not too bad right now...

When my girl stopped eating we offered baby food...plain chicken or turkey with no onion or garlic seasonings. She started eating again right away. Anything to get them to eat. Scrambled eggs, lunch meat...hope your kitty feels better.

A full CBC is a good place to start. That should give you a baseline.
