I use Scoop away. He hasn't done it again, and maybe it's cus I had scooped it shortly before and it brought up weird scents? I did take him into the vet, because he was chasing things I couldn't see (lol), but he is ok! Thanks for your concern, I hope your new litter works for you! I...
Hey guys! I hate to be a hypochondriac, but this year so far I've had one cat have a urinary blockage (twice, but the first time I almost didn't take him in because I didn't know what it was but I thought, he'll get over it!!), and a second cat I put down because of dilated myopathy (Breathing...
Glad everything went well! I've only had one cat have a surgery (and not that surgery), and he did not eat for a bit after. I had to syringe feed him, which got stressful for both of us. Hopefully the feeding tube will hold over until he feels better. Sort of amazing what vets can do, hope he...
Here are my babies! First picture has my youngest, Enso (who's 3 now, trapped her at a gas station at 2 months old). She's pretty skitish, but gets along great with my other cats. I don't see her too much though. The orange and white cat is Hans, he's 5 now I think. I trapped him at 4...
Well, it was fancy feast, no grain variety, and also friskees, no wheat variety. She ate dry food up through probably age 6. I am just curious, because the vet seemed to wonder what I was feeding her. I only question the connection, as I knew how much she used to throw up on a wheat diet. I...
welp, never mind, there is no way to beat the people leading :) thanks if anyone watched! I don't understand how they score the "buzz" for this site.. oh well
The only thing I can think of, is to see which cat likes or doesn't like what type of food.. you may have no problem just leaving out the food. ALL my cats hated the SD, couldn't get Hans to touch it. He happened to love the CD wet food, which none of my other cats will touch. This worked out...
Also, he happened to be perpetually stressed out (I trapped him at 4 months). Both times he blocked up after I had been dogsitting and staying at someone's house for a couple of weeks at a time. That's why I opted to spend twice the amount for surgery, as it would have been to clear the second...
My cat blocked up again, because I thought switching him to an all-wet-food diet would help his situation (Not CD wet food, mind you!). I was in a quandry of how to settle out which cat could eat what. I couldn't afford to give all 4 cats the Hills Prescription food. Plus, the dry food (at...
Certain friskees pates are at least wheat-free (but not rice!). I use this off and on. I have no idea about the vomiting, sorry!! It would be a concern though, hope you figure it out!
Sorry about your kitty! I am not sure what your finances are like, but it's easy to start accumulating cats, and then figure out later that the diets we feed them really aren't that great for them (can cause a lot of problems!!) and that vet bills will be out of control before you know it! I...
Did you try grain-free (like wheat-free)? This helped out my cat a lot.. she was the only one that had such a problem with throwing up, and it switched pretty fast after getting new food.
I'm not sure about this, but now might be the time to get another one IMO, because if you wait then maybe the other two will bond so much that they reject a third in the future? Not sure about this, my sister had a problem with a third (all were male though), and had lots of peeing going on...
