tabbytom tabbytom No truer words ever penned! *And looks like the yolk's on you!*
N NY cat man My mom had orange spotted daylilies here, in pretty much full sun. I never know if or when they'll come up, but they're pretty and I enjoy them.
Maria Bayote Maria Bayote You scolded her? AWWWW! **I am FELINE. Birds INTEREST me.**:bluecat:🦜
We have what we have always called Tiger Lilies, although I'm sure they have some proper name or other that I'm not aware of. I would post pictures, but, unfortunately my tablet died suddenly, and I don't know enough about this (vile, obscene, unprintable) 'smart'phone to take and post them. Dang!

Sorry! for the frustration. They take time to learn. And they're always updating, so endless frustration. I use my wonderful desktop for anything major.
Mom always called the orange ones Bonnie & Clyde lilies. Not sure why.

Michele has a desktop too, but that is strictly her bailiwick, so that is not an option. Fortunately, I didn't have very much on the tablet, and all but a few pictures were on micro SD cards, so they are safe. It's more of an annoyance than anything, as I have even a smaller keyboard to work with now.

Yeah. Sorry to hear that. I'm spoiled by desktops. Don't like laptops. Never had a tablet.

I have double yolks again today! 3 eggs and 5 yolks.
Wow!

Graham is a stunning looking kitty. Even when she is sulking.
Thanks a lot.

You scolded her? AWWWW! **I am FELINE. Birds INTEREST me.**:bluecat:🦜
Hehe, she likes pestering the budgies. But she knows that she'd be scolded each time. When she hears me coming, she'd run and hide.

So if you can buy them where you live, they probably will be happy in your garden.
I will look for them. That is a beautiful looking flower! Amazing how they can change one's moods. :)

Yikes! I have been gone too long! Wow! I can’t do posts like I usually do but
Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Heal fast! Scamper, no bites on hooman!

strider rose strider rose Cat are waving! Loo

rubysmama rubysmama Love Bee balm but mine isn’t blooming. Lol

Furballsmom Furballsmom I can’t take credit for the rain but I bet Banjo will! Lol

neely neely You can’t see me! Oh. I guess you can if you are reading this. I guess the cats have me thinking like they do?

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I totally get that feeling of wanting justice! Enough of disrespecting others and forgetting that karma/justice does get dished out. I find that it may take time but I have seen and heard Karma strike those who invite it. We don’t always get to see or hear it but….,it does. Sometimes a swift kick in the pants can wake someone up? Hopefully causing a change of heart or future change in behavior.

N NY cat man Ahhhh! Now I know the secret to how you fertilize your garden! Grumpy purrs! Lol
You should start selling the extras! I’ll take a pound of purrs please!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Bluetiful butterfly! Lol
Thanks for sharing the links about Thrasher and giving me a heads up here. . As you know, I have been following Oscar since the start. I posted to her. :thanks:

tabbytom tabbytom Great tips about the fur line cracks in ceramics.
A great cat behind every great person. Yes! True! A great cat in front of everyone too!;) If everyone noticed and took one in, the whole world would be great.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 I am so sorry about the theft and I know how that feels. Aaaasrrrgh!
Thank you for updating everyone!
Gypsy! You are very talented. Making a heart of gold! Wow! I haven’t found any during my panning days but maybe you can teach the kitties how to do that. Lol

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Barley has a pigeon friend! Graham just wants the Budgies to be her friends? Lol I love the photos!

To everyone, the kitties are all fine. They have been a bit nervous lately as we have surveyors for the power company around every corner and a lot of activity in the area. A big factory is coming near and a lot of changes are coming. Cats don’t like change and , being a bit of a cat myself, not sure I am ecstatic myself. Lol However, nothing stays the same. For many, this will be a very good thing. The population of this place is supposed to increase about 7x what it is now. If they are all cat lovers, we’ll be very happy! In the meantime I am being contacted a LOT! I am not sure what this will mean for us purrsonally but part of Chezcatbirds woods may be in the way of progress.:ohwell: Hoping not. That said, I have been greatly blessed to have beauty before me for so long. I am grateful. It is what drew me here and it has given me so much. Perhaps I can preserve it a bit longer. I am trying. Please understand if I am absent a bit. This rescue is going to be tougher than helping a feral kitty.

With strangers around the area, the kitties are acting as security guards. They are sooo helpful. Everything will always be okay with them on duty!

Banjo is their supervisor.

The heat has been horrible here but with the help of fantastic friend J we got almost all the stuff from the apartment basement storage yesterday but everything stinks to high Heavens! We put it all in storage shed for now and hoping the smell dissipates, unfortunately can't really air it out there. Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the stench?? Gypsy says none of it can go to the house smelling as it does and that no one will buy anything that stinky. 20220721_073533.jpg
Unearthing lots of treasures (many forgotten) I really like this pins message 20220721_073550.jpg
Hope everyone has a good day.

Yes, where is our black floof kitty? Maybe he's a behind the scenes private detective! 🔎
No one would dare enter your house Jcatbird Jcatbird with a feline clowder of protective, furry security guards.

Depending on what is causing the stench maybe Rid X. :dunno: I'm sure N NY cat man would have a good recommendation.

Everything dry, basement dank, musty rather than moldy smell
Baking soda may do the trick for you. I'm sure there are other products out there, but if it works to absorb odors in a refrigerator, I can't see why it wouldn't elsewhere. Plus, it's cheap to leave a couple of open boxes in the storage building.

I'll give it a try. I also have some unused scented cat litter I had gotten by mistake and we had kept in the vehicles last winter. Not sure if I should scatter it or place small containers of it around the shed.

Your welcome. I remembered the post as I was typing my message and though it would be very helpful. Thanks for last night's Smile. You have a lot of security guards in that house. Any fool who dare step foot in your house uninvited is in for quite a surprise.:bicolorcat::blackcat2::silver::whitecat::vancat:

Wow, that is a lot of changes to deal with. I hope you and the community can protect that land. The factory may bring jobs to the area, but as you mentioned it is going to really increase the population where you live and that might cause to much strain. I will pray that if this is all wrong for your area, that these developers have a change of heart and leave you be. Hang in there. All the best to you and everyone at Chez Catbird. ❤❤❤

You can try baking soda as recommended by N NY cat man or you can have an exhaust fan to draw out the air or use activated charcoal and have them changed every two/three weeks or so or have a dehumidifier running.

Smells like this could be or likely due to mold and mildew as they thrive in damp places like basements with no windows to air the room.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Tabbytom's idea of charcoal is excellent, and so is baking soda. If you can air the boxes out in a safe place(?) that might help, too. Fresh air really does "air things out."
Jcatbird Jcatbird , OH NO! I hope it's not what I think it is. amazon? Or a big chip producer? Either way, OH NO! I'm strictly an anti-developer. I was just reading that in our former beautiful area of the Mojave, they have a problem of violence now because of illegal marijuana greenhouses. Marijuana is beneficial and legal in some instances, but these are not, and we all know how much violence is attached to that. Such a terrible thing to happen to such a beautiful place! There was already a lot of meth lab activity out there, which is even worse. But it was mostly farther out on the flats, not in our little high desert communities. The people are having meetings about it. I'm sure that a lot of them are very upset about this.
As to your comment on justice, YES. People who do evil things are already in the hell of their own making. And they will face Justice in the time to come. I just WISH and pray they were stopped from harming others! but we have free will, alas.
You do have a wonderful squad of security there, I must say.
