gilmargl gilmargl Of course we are interested!!!! This is fantastic news! We always want to hear about lives saved. She is beautiful. Thank you for saving her and the babies. Funny you should ask about names. @strider rose started a thread of A to Z cats names as a game. It lists lots of good ideas. I just found that threa. I posted a name for the letter R. Since cats can be a bit of a puzzle, I said ,”Rubik.” That nay be too masculine though. I think the thread would give you lots of ideas. @Boris Diamond posted Synergy which I thought was great and also Quantum. There are lots of names listed there. Tiffany is one that might fit since she has beautiful colors like a Tiffany glass window. IDK since purrsonality is important is naming. I am sure others will be interested too.,:woo::bunnydance::banana1: Here is a link to the names thread.name those kitties a-z

I look forward to hearing more about her, the babies and any other kitties there.
Well, here are the babies' first pictures - they must be 4 weeks old as they were quite confident leaving the nest. Tomorrow I will have to buy cat litter suitable for kittens and chicken for mama (the change of food - or just too much at once has upset her system. poor thing), and get out the cat toys suitable for kittens. The messy stage of rearing kittens is upon me far too soon - but I've survived before so there's no reason to panic.

I'll definitely have a look at the names thread - but I do like the name Tiffany - it seems to suit a pretty, petite, quiet cat!

Here is the paler of the 2 little girls, with mama watching me!

And now the second female - a shade darker

And the little boy

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote I had noticed your absence. Continued prayers for you too. I hope you feel better again quickly. :hugs:

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I am with you! As much as I love all creatures, I would not want that job! I imagine the snake was not happy.

tabbytom tabbytom The door bites!!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I am not in direct communication these days but, like others here, I care about all the cats that have been here. I try to keep track and someone notified me about Peanut. I did send condolences. Those cats are greatly loved and cared for. I can try to pass it along. It’s a grapevine thing.
Ah. Frustration is something I understand with technology. I have spent way too much time making corrections that I prefer to spend with the kitties but it does serve a great purpose. Things just get more complicated these days. I try to cut my apps to a minimum. It seems that just when I have things sorted out, changes come again. Lol Technology reminds me of Kudzu, it grows by the foot every day.

N NY cat man Well, maybe but you remembered that! That’s been awhile too!:clap2:

gilmargl gilmargl Ohhhhh! I’m in love. Those little faces! Gosh I miss fostering kittens. Messy? Yes! Lol Delightful, definitely! Please post these cuties. They will make us all smile. Little flag tails and kitten waddles! I’m melting looking at them.
I think Tiffany is a sweet name. I happen to love colored glass and Tiffany produced beautiful things. Seems like it could be a fit. Mom kitty has the sweetest expression! I could snuggle them all and be happy. More pictures as you can please.

rubysmama rubysmama I know the feeling of wanting these babies. Ruby would probably look at them as snuggle thieves. Lol

I must be off quickly tonight. Lots of activity in the area. Power outages and neighbors with problems. The person in the trailer here is out of town, naturally since I am going over for the kitties! We have visitors here until things are back in order and Pawpurr is not excited about it. Marcus is actually very happy to be here. I had to do a lot of rearranging and transporting of cats and cat things in the dark. A Sheriff officer came by the trailer and was the nicest guy! Nicest officer I have ever met! He met the kitties and they approved too. He even suggested I bring the trailer kitties here so he understands they need to be where they can get proper cate when things are a bit unsettled. Lol Hopefully I can get them back over there in the next day or two. I also have a good lead on a home! Paws crossed! Marcus and Surely would be together.

Supper was a little late.

He is the sweetest kitty! Very adaptable too.
I may have to be busy making some repairs at the trailer tomorrow. Hopefully I can get help and I’ll be back tomorrow night. If I am not, then know that I came home and dropped into bed!

Oh speaking of kittens, my aunts finally found one after the two that didn't work out. This time when they went to see the cats in person, this kitten picked them. They named her Rosie and J and I skyped with them today to meet her. She's been there about a week and a half now and has settled in perfectly.

I was about to sleep last night when I heard kitty cries. When my husband opened the front door there was this tuxedo cat we regularly feed with 3 little companions. It was so funny and endearing to watch the 3 nuggets as they seemed to not know which direction they'd go to hide. I placed a plate of wet food for the 4 of them but only Tuxie cat ate. I kept asking Tuxie where in the world he picked up those kittens. "They are not yours!" I kept telling him jokingly. "Return them to their momma now!" and I remember my husband laughing at me as i spoke to them.

I placed the kitties in the safety of my mini terrace so they would not be able to climb off to the main road, and hoped the momma would find them. This morning they were gone. When I see them again I'd now be ready with kitty wet food which I bought during my lunch break today. I believe they are just hiding within the area with their momma. When I saw them last night they looked well, clean and healthy so I know the momma just went off to look for food.

I wish they'd come today. :)

Yeah, don't think Ruby would like having to share her mama's lap, or snuggles. She's a bit spoiled. :petcat:

Oh no. Hope things get fixed quickly. 🤗

Don't work too hard, but if you come home exhausted, don't worry about posting here, as we'll know you're getting well deserved shut eye. 🛌

Jcatbird Jcatbird A GOOD officer? A frefreshing bit of news -- and one who understands about cats and safety? Give that man an award! Also amazing that he checked the situation out. Very good.
Isn't it strange how, the more "advanced" we supposedly get, tech-wise, the more trouble we have with plain communication that used to be no trouble at all? *And speaking of tech, I loved fb until I couldn't. My own personal situation is what it is. But they are once again in big trouble. MARK!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!!*:disturbed:
As always, it's CATS who bring things back into focus. Elvis just launched himself onto my lap and is about to settle himself onto my arm so I have trouble working.

Jcatbird Jcatbird I hope everything gets back to normal and the power is restored soon. You are an angel helping your neighbor's kitties. They are so blessed to have you as a neighbor. I am keeping my 🤞that Surely and Marcus find a new home together. That would be great since they are very close to each other.

Well, have a good evening. Hope everyone here is doing well.🙂

Lari Lari That is wonderful news!! Having kitty pick them is always the best kind of match. Hopefully we’ll get a picture? I want to know what Baby J did when she saw Rosie. Did you get a smile?

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote So Tuxie brought someone to make you feel better?!?! That’s very considerate. A get well group. Lol I wonder if he is related. He certainly knew where to bring kittens to find a meal and give mom cat a break. Perhaps he was babysitting. I have seen colony cats do that very thing. It is so amazing to watch a colony and the loving interactions. Kind of like TCS.;):heartshape:I expect mom cat came and claimed them bit that you will see them again. Mom cat may bring them back to the safe place where you put them.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I think you are right. Both little girls seem to have golden star trails on their forehead and one has little sunrise rays above her eyes. The little boy has beautiful light floof on his legs. He is wearing his own Muk Luks!’ Look at da tail!!:lovecat3:

rubysmama rubysmama Ruby is a little spoiled? Heh. As she should be. As all TCS kitties should be. Do you think the Chez Catbird kitties are spoiled? Lolololol I can’t help myself. I love loving them. The kitties spoil us!

Most things got fixed. I am bushed! I wanted to come for awhile anyway though. :heartshape: It’s a happy place.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 That nan was the nicest officer I have ever met! I have met more than my share out here too!!He was respectful, kind and when I apologized for him having to do paperwork on something that was not a huge crime, he told me it was no problem and that “If anyone ever told me it was, they are idiots!”:eek2: Am I on candid camera?:paranoid: Did Banjo kiss another frog cuz this guy was a prince! Lol I told him how much I appreciated him and his work ethic.Funny that we were just talking about that here. He was pleased at the compliment. I hope he always keeps the great attitude. I know the job can make it hard to maintain but that is what we all want and need from an officer. He gave me his card, promised to do drive by checks and told me to call any time. It was most encouraging. He also suggested I redo some things the person staying in the trailer has undone. Secure the place. I already planned that and had fussed about it. Window left open? Seriously? Screen punched out? How? Why? Door off? Unh. No! :rolleyes3: I spent the day re hanging a heavy wood door, securing windows and generally tightening the place up. I did have help! Yay!!!!!:woo:
Still no Facebook? Reuter’s said it was like they had “locked their keys in the car..” Whatsap, Instagram, Messenger and Facebook are supposedly affected and some of the problems took place this morning. Seems a Whistleblower has plenty to say too. IDK but I read the Facebook issues were worldwide. There is a lot on Google from many sources. Some reputable and some might not be. Who knows? I just hope that those who use it to be benefit society can get it all back.
Elvis! Lol Making hooman take a break? Smart kitty. :redheartpump: I have a Bonjour on my lap. I will take that hint in a few minutes. Lol

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose The power did not go off in my house. The line behind me was affected. Half of my land is on one line and half on another. That can be a huge plus at times!
Back to normal? Ahhh, can I have it back to better than normal?:flail:
Thank you for the good wishes. :hugs:
I am so hoping for the kitties to get that adoption! They are so sweet and Surely is so funny. She’s a smart one! Marcus is all love and belly rubs. They are Purrfect kitties for someone who wants love and can give love. Hoping, hoping, hoping!!!!!
How are things there? Good I hope!

I'll ask them if they mind me sharing a picture! J enjoyed seeing Rosie and Rosie was super interested in the sounds J was making. J was also interested in trying to type on my laptop keyboard so, you know, video chatting with her isn't the easiest these days.

Lari Lari That puts the cutest image in my mind! Toddler and kitten observing the world and each other. J has kitty experience! Now she is becoming tech savvy? Lol Before we know it she will be at the computer with a cat in her lap! I do understand the challenge of holding her as she “helps” you type! Isn’t it neat that she wants to do everything Mommy does though?:heartshape:

Our smiles tonight come via the cats, a friend and my Dad. My Dad sent a YouTube video. When I played it, the kitties all came to watch. Fortunately a friend was available to let me photograph this with their phone while it played on mine.

Surely that’s a bird!

Let me check.

Maybe other cats and Hoomans will enjoy this little bird. This bird has something important to say! I wish I knew birdspeak. If I did, I could say ,”A little bird told me!”

This Hooman enjoyed it. :)

My feline, however, walked right past the door while I was watching it, and didn't even turn her head. Course she's not as tech savvy as the Chez Catbird clowder. ;)

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 *Faster than a speeding cat!* Gypsy is right on it!
Jcatbird Jcatbird Elvis very much enjoyed the video ;) which I see on your phone has a header of "Potential Spam" so PURRhaps spam might interest the Chez Catbird clowder? *Although I wouldn't recommend anyone eat that.*
I've read about the technical causes of the down, but that's not what's affecting me. My inability to access the site started a couple of weeks ago and has nothing to do with the global outtage. I get "clear your cookies" and "too many redirects" and I've gone through a lot of different cookie clearings but no success. I can't even access the site itself, much less my accounts.
I guess it's good that this happened when it did; some are positing that facebook doesn't have long to live. Who knows? Mark lost a lot of money yesterday, as did the site. Of course, he and they has/have LOTS more. So I'm not counting it out yet. But maybe it's good that I've sort of disconnected from it in case it does go down permanently. It is still the best platform on which to do what I do, and therein lies the problem. There just isn't anywhere else as good, and I've spent almost 13 years building up followers and doing the work I do on fb; having to build that elsewhere is daunting.
Still, I'm limited to twitter now, which is a very different platform.
