Glad you're okay! Reminds me of the time I was taking the cat poo out to the garage and ran back inside because it was so cold. I fell up the steps and banged every single part of my body one after the other, even hit my head on the door. I was fine though. I laughed so hard at how ridiculous it looked. :headshake:

Did you tank on purpose? 📝

Ha! Dents. Yeah, they sure can take a hunk out of me with their claws. :devilish:

I can relate. Those torches burn forever it seems. 🔥

Hmmm....I hope all your prayers work that well. ;)
On purpose? Absolutely.

BellaGooch BellaGooch I’m glad it gave you a good night. Seeing kitties in a good place always gives me a good feeling too. Dear Shakespeare. I did laugh at Pounce and his catitude. He kept opening the back door and coming out , then going back inside. I would shut the door but about ten minutes later he would open it and come back out. That went on for my whole visit. He’s a really funny and sweet kitty but not much on eating while the frog stares at him.

tabbytom tabbytom Thank you so much for the help. I kept looking for the post but it must have been a delete function on the phone rather than something on the site. Frustrating but I just had to re type my answers. I hate losing the time but,:dunno: Normally I do find my post still on the page. Posting from a phone has drawbacks.
I love the blue kitty. You find the cutest images. :heartshape:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Posting on a phone is a challenge. Lol Time consuming but if it spreads anything good, it’s well worth it. Seeing Pippa, Shakespeare and the others in their garden and home is so gratifying for me. They have warming pads in every piece of furniture on that porch. Their garden consists of high walls and many levels of decking and hidden kitty places. The plants there are lush and the whole place carried the scent of my favorite tea olive. Pounce actually opens the house door for any kitty that knocks! He may be a grumpy face but he has beautiful manners.
That music / jewelry box does have bees! Lol That fellow had that wrong and the manufacture date. Unless his was issued much earlier but my understanding was that the company that made it had issues it the year I got it. We had a “San Francisco Music Box Company” store here and once a year I would go there for Sarah. They had the most beautiful music boxes. The store is gone now but it was a place we enjoyed greatly while it was here.
Those falls are awful! Tailbone especially hurts. I sympathize with the bent finger too. When I was young, my brother kicked my little finger and it had to be xrayed . It wasn’t broken but bent! Yuck. It still has a nice curve to it but it works. I have arthritis in it now but I am glad it wasn’t my thumb or index finger. No pinky rings for me though!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose When I was a girl I had the ballerina music box too. I loved it. That is what made me think of giving Sarah her first music box. Little did I know, she would find music boxes to be comforting as a baby. Her love for them continued throughout her life.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 I laughed and laughed at the bag attack. The kitties here would get a bit too excited. Lol They will stop but by that time the bag would have a hole and so would I. Gypsy is very polite.

I do hope your shoulder is on the mend. That moist heat feels so good on a wrenched shoulder! Heal fast!

N NY cat man You too! Oh no! Well I hope you are okay. Winter is a bad time for falls. It has been wet here so I am trying to be careful but at least we don’t have to worry about ice. Concrete tends to scrape as well as being a very hard surface. I know too well! Ouch is right!
M maggiedemi Yow! Falling up the stairs is bad. I’m glad it didn’t do damage. It’s a little hard to fall gracefully. I usually try to do that when someone is looking. Lol Faceplants are never graceful though. Glad you were still able to laugh!

Yes. Real torches are hard to extinguish.
I also hope that my prayers all work that well. ;)

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I hope your knee is feeling better.

Well, one room has a new floor now! That brings a smile for me. Some of the kitties had something to say about it too.

You really do need to order those gardener's knee pads! They'd be a huge help when putting in that flooring, Jcatbird Jcatbird !

GOOD GRIEF, we're a stumbly/bumbly group! Thank you all for your concern. The knee is better than it should be. Purple. Very purple, but it only hurts when I poke at it, so I'm not poking at it. I think it's as good as it is because I take Meloxicam twice a day, and 2000 mg of acetaminophen a day, and both of those are anti-inflammatories. It has to be a pretty bad injury to get past all of that!

Guys, pray. We're getting reports of coyotes in our area. They're death (literally) on ferals. And Scamper can't climb to escape them! So far, all of the reports are on the other end of town, but it's a small town.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 You know all cats have my *PRAYERS* from the heart, always! Is there any place where Scamper can shelter and be safe?
Jcatbird Jcatbird The new floor is beautiful and if it has the Banjo Seal of Approval, you know it's strong and will last long! It looks really nice in the room. Those gardeners' knee pads are great. I have a couple of them. *Now if I could only find them! In the hubub of moving my roomies in, they got misplaced somehow. They are somewhere in the Great Wilderness of the garage.*
My little finger is bent like that, too. It looks weird but I don't care, as long as I can do my work. My mom got her thumb slammed in a car door when she was growing up (don't ask -- IDK!) and it was flattened all her life. My dad shut my hand in the power windows on the car twice. Fortunately, no lasting harm done. Why DO we insist on putting our fingers and hands in harm's way in this family, I wonder???:gaah:

Way back when we three were just getting to know each other I had even started a thread here on TCS Do Love 'attacks' Freak Out Anyone Else? Jul 9, 2017. I was kinda terrified since I knew exactly how much damage she could do with those teeth & claws.
How far we have come!:lol2::tongue:
She is usually in her box lid and I wrap my hand and arm in the Barnes & Noble bag and go for the tummy. She lets me know when she wants to wrestle. She'll bunny kick (it tickles) and I'll softly grab her open jaw or footsie and shake gently. No claws or bites and no hard shakes on my part. If she does happen to get too excited I just freeze and softly say Easy and she releases. She will jump up and streak away when she has had enough. I have NEVER used bare hand

I do hope your shoulder is on the mend. That moist heat feels so good on a wrenched shoulder! Heal fast!
Oh Thanks, it was doing so much better that unfortunately I forgot, reached back to grab a Kleenex and pulled on the strain...*sigh* back to the moist heat.

Of course prayers! but since Scamper can still jump, hopefully higher than coyote and also is smaller is there any way you can get someone to rig up a series of narrow ledges he could leap up and away and/or a hidey hole with a door large enough to get through but too small for them, and deep enough that they couldn't reach in to grab him. I'm sorry I didn't see your post earlier in the day!

Does he use the doorknob?! Or just push it open? Maggie can open the closet door & she taught Demi how to do it too. :devilish:

We had a “San Francisco Music Box Company” store here and once a year I would go there for Sarah.
That was a pretty special thing to do every year. :hugs:

It’s a little hard to fall gracefully.
Especially since I'm so tall! It's a long way to the ground.

Well, one room has a new floor now!
I showed Dad your new floor and he was impressed. He wants to know what is in the storage carts on wheels? They have labels on them, but I can't see what it says.

We're getting reports of coyotes in our area. They're death (literally) on ferals.
That's probably why there are no more ferals around here. They stopped culling the coyotes & coydogs. :(

Desperate emergency! Please read and help!
Two younglings in Alabama needing immediate extraction!
On Instagram I started following katdadde who is feeding 65 or so cats in numerous locations within 5 minutes of where he lives in Homewood Alabama, near Birmingham.
These are two younglings who were living under a dumpster next to this porta-potty. Dumpster just got moved and babys now living under the porta-potty. Dumpster was possibly for construction debris. I’m afraid if that's true the porta-pottys next. Jcatbird Jcatbird suggested I post here and pearl99 pearl99 , tag you to hopefully forward. PM me or Jcatbird Jcatbird for caretakers contact info.

Oh my! Time for some feral and rescue discussion!
Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I kind of know that Scamper is in the most active area for humans. That’s good! Scamper is smart. He has a place he can hide close to you and I don’t think those coyotes can get in there. Can you hear out there at night? That’s when I saw the ones active here. Here, they went after trash can areas rather than the ferals. The easy things. I heard we had them but rarely saw them. They seemed to leave this area for greener pastures. Even though there were lots of cats here at the time, they did not stay. My brother has them where he lives too. He spots them at night as well and has video of them walking right past his cat and not being interested at all! They even shied away a bit as they ran to turn over a trash can. His cat also has a bad front foot. I know we all hear about them but if they are not there in great numbers then they may be getting enough by scavenging or they may leave to find better places. Many creatures move through but keep going.
dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 I hope someone can help those two and that beautiful calico and babies. Thank you for the update on the Alabama kitties! We will all be sending hopes , wishes , good vibes and prayers for them. Maybe someone here will know of a link to someone who can foster or adopt. In fact, they don’t have to be in Alabama but anywhere near there.

May all our little community kitties, ferals or lost cats be kept safe and find loving families.:vibes::redheartpump:
