Now, can anyone help me find my car remote start? I had it on Friday.. put it in my pocket, and I think I lost it.....
Where did I put it???
I took everything off the kitchen counters yesterday to give them a good scrub. I noticed when I was putting stuff back that the husband's keys were gone. Looked all over the kitchen and realized I had stuck them in a drawer.

Not sure about the rest of the world but VA and MD have been experiencing a Christmas tree shortage. Not sure if everyone is buying theirs early or the lots didn't buy as much but all the tree lots ran out of trees really early this year. I wonder what people who buy their trees on Christmas Eve are going to do.
We got our tree first weekend in December. I drove by the church we bough it from about a week later and it looked like there were less than ten left.

Maybe since more people are working from home this year, they feel like they can keep up with the upkeep of a live tree instead of artificial?

Do people actually do that? What's the point if the holiday is over? How long do they keep it up? I guess I've heard of people tearing the tree down the day after Christmas but never the other way around.

I don't think I've ever seen a lot of live trees in stores that late in the season, and if there were any left they were pretty scraggly.

A lot of people have a tradition of buying and decorating the tree on Christmas Eve. I agree with you though. I couldn't imagine waiting that long to get one up and decorated.

Finally done with all the Christmas shopping, now I get to spend the rest of the year worrying about all the money I've spent on things that weren't really necessary.

Anyone still have shopping left?

i have been playing a game earlier and i made some characters for the game too ..well its a work in progress but lots of fun

What kind of game?

Edit: Oh, crap. I seem to have lost my keys both to the apartment and the building somewhere, the trouble is I live above a jewelry store and if someone loses the keys to the main gate, they have to replace the lock. It's just one of those that you use on chains and such, but still..great timing.🙄

I've grown up with only finding/buying a tree the last week before Christmas, and we only ever decorated it on the day before Christmas day.

People having fully decorated trees weeks before always seemed weird to me. I went out of comfort sone this year and set the tree in the living room a week ago, but that's only because it's a small "pre-decorated" one and it fits on a shelf.

My mom says it sounds like arthritis. I'm in my thirties, but this wouldn't surprise me considering how messed up my joints are.
It could be arthritis, it could be carpal tunnel syndrome, it could be just a passing thing, it could be a whole bunch of things.

I'm in my thirties and quite fit despite everything, still pretty sure I have arthritis.

It is always so interesting when finding out your traditions or norms are so different than others. Feels so weird. It wasn't until my late 20's I discovered people peel oranges as opposed to cut them in 4's. My boyfriend at the time peeled oranges. Thought it was the strangest thing, but he said so many people did it. I didn't believe him and affectionately teased him about it, but then at work one day we were in the breakroom taking a break together and one of my coworkers was peeling an orange. It surprised me and said, you are right, other people do do this. 🤣

Pics of your small tree? Little trees can be so cute and adorable.

A friend introduced me to Insight Timer, which has become my favorite meditation app.

My favorites so far I AM Morning Affirmations by Kenneth Soares, which has a wicked, enchanting drum beat behind his wonderful deep and motivating voice, and Practicing Gentle Kindness toward Ourself by Sarah Blondin, which was a mystical, poetic, and enchanting. It was like listening to poetry that was so deeply touching and impactful to hear. Think she will be one of my favorites if her others are the same.

Working towards doing 3 meditations a day. In the morning after the cats are fed, starting my day with a daily affirmations one. Later probably a mindfulness one and try some others.

Aye, but there's something weird about the cutting vs peeling oranges thing. I have a nephew that grew up with oranges beeing peeled and not cut, yet he asked everyone a couple of months ago whether peeling or cutting was the normal thing to do.

Sorry about the piratey English btw.
