WillowMarie so sorry to hear. Remember that all things are transitory. "This too shall pass." ♥ :purr:
Thank you. <3 It comes in unbearable waves and I've been feeling so alone. Made myself reach out to some friends and ask to schedule some video chats. Guess it is a good thing I've started crying this week though because it is a healthy release for emotions.

It might just be the depression but I'm feeling low today. There's no one to talk to and nowhere to go. I'm getting tired of painting and drawing. I just want to go somewhere away from here.
:hugs::heartshape: Sorry you've been feeling low. That feeling of being so isolated and alone can be so overwhelming. Please keep sharing with us. We are here for you. Please keep reaching out. I promise there are so many people who care about you and want to hear about what you are going through and support you, including me.

My Amazon packages took a bit longer, too, but I got baby girl's car seat yesterday and Aedan's new bedding today. We haven't put his bed frame together yet, but I put on the mattress protector and bedding. He was really excited when I showed him. I'm gonna put him to bed in there tonight and see how it goes. I actually feel a bit better about having the mattress on the floor in the beginning, anyway.

He picked out the bedding. Pointed to it on my screen. This was his reaction when I showed him:

DINOSAURS!!!!!!!! Love this

I passed the practice exam this time :hyper:
:celebrate::woo::banana1::jive::celebrate: Congrats!!!! So proud of you! You did it!

Yeah, this week was kinda a downer. I think I'm over Facebook. Family & Friends don't really respond to words, only pictures. I'm not much of a picture person. But I guess that's why it's called "Face" book.
That's a sad feeling. Sometimes I wonder if facebook logarithm, or whatever it is called, favors certain things to show up on people's feeds, but noticed this with people responding less to just text posts than picture posts, too.

Was there something you posted you hoped to get more of a response to?

They don't respond much to anything I post on Facebook unless I include a picture. I even try to make a really interesting post about my day, but nobody cares unless there is a picture with it. I like my privacy and I don't feel like taking pics at the moment, I'm not really well enough for that.

I post way more pictures of my cats than myself, usually.

Yeah, I posted a bunch of cat photos and photos of me as a kid. But they keep asking for recent photos and I just don't feel well enough yet. And if I talk about cooking, they want me to post a pic of my dinner instead of just talking about it.
I can see how that would be frustrating if you're not up to it yet.

Now that I'm thinking about it, most of the people on my list who post about food do end up posting photos, so that does seem to be a facebook thing.

I can see how that would be annoying. Unfortunately, seems like photos are important to many people as seen in this interesting article Photos on Facebook Generate 53% More Likes Than the Average Post [NEW DATA]

It talks about how picture posts get 53% more likes and 104% more comments compared to "average" posts. Thought it was interesting and wanted to share. Seems people are hardwired to notice and interact with pictures more than text.

Everything has been cleaned out of my rental and is back home. Such an exhausting week: 4 days of driving 11+ hours and 2 days packing and filling car and cleaning last minute details in rental, complete with multiple migraines, cranky attitude, and anxiety driven severe lack of sleep 2 nights. Relieved to be back at home with the cats again. Missed them so much and it was hard sleeping at my rental without them.

So long mountains. Hope we meet again one day soon.

Thought this was interesting. My mom was all excited to get her, my brother, and I some Outback Steakhouse to celebrate my graduation. She mentioned this earlier and that she was thinking of also getting my two other brothers a gift card so they can have some Outback, too, who love away from home and can't come over to eat with us. My first thought was she was going to have us all order and eat at the same time to celebrate my graduation together. So I mentioned this and said that'd be neat to eat with everyone over video chat. But she was like, oh, I didn't think of that, I was just going to send them a gift card so they could order themselves Outback, too.

So... is this something to celebrate my graduation or were you just in the mood to treat everyone in the family to a yummy meal??

Trying not to think too much into it. I'm really excited for me meal though!

Yes, this is definitely true. I'm more a lover of words than pictures. But who knows, maybe that will change as I get healthier. We'll see.

Your mom might not have thought about the new technology where you can eat a meal virtually over the internet together. My parents would never think of it.

Dang, I just fell over my mom's clutter and hurt my knee. I don't know how somebody could want to live like this by choice. It just makes no sense. When/if I ever get my own place, I will not have one piece of clutter visible. 👎

I know I don't. I have Facetime on my phone, and NEVER think to use it! If you're over, oh, say, 60, it just isn't an automatic thing!

My mom and I finally made time to try making masks for ourselves for when we go out.

The first one took 3.5 hours to figure out and we are tired but now that we know what we are doing, it'll turn out better the next time. Aesthetically, it could have been better but that's probably me just being a picky perfectionist.
