It took most of the day, but I read this entire thread thanks to it being featured on the home page. What a saga! Anubis did grow into his ears finally, didn't he? I'd love to get an update. Does lallorona lallorona still post on the site? What a tenacious young woman she is. Anubis was so fortunate she passed by when he needed someone.
I have been absent for quite some time. I want to say (more like announce) that Anubis and his sister Princess are now cat-siblings to my human baby who was born in December! :)

I hope Anubis is behaving well in his new role as big brother. :catlove:

I’m not comfortable with posting pictures of my infant daughter in public forums however I can give you guys a little preview. Here is Anubis meeting her for the first time. He just sniffed her And walked away. Princess Is still “scared” of her so she’s goes no where near her. That’s why I don’t have any pictures but she will come around on her own :)

lallorona lallorona on the birth of your daughter! It's such a treat to see you back again and just delightful that you bring with you such good news! That's a pretty sweet picture of Anubis sniffing at her hand. He looks so tiny - I seem to remember that he had grown up to be a very big boy. :bluecat: I hope you are getting enough rest and that your little girl is sleeping through the night. I know busy you are now that you're parenting a young baby but if, by some miracle, you find yourself with time on your hands, please pop in and say hello! And don't forget that we can never have too many cat pictures around here! :camera:

My little one is 2 months old (going on 3 next week). He was a victim of her kicks from inside the womb this was when I was 5 months pregnant. He laid next to me. I love it when he does that because usually if he’s laying down and I lie with him to cuddle he gets up and leaves, like he’s annoyed of me or something

And this picture is from.. well... all the time. Yup. He’s THAT type of cat. The type that likes to go in the bathroom with you and sit next to you while he waits and watches as you do your business. Sometimes he’d even poke his head in the gap between your booty and the toilet seat just to take a peak. And if that isn’t enough he’d look inside the toilet as you get up and flush. Sometimes when I go in the restroom I see him coming so I have to wait for him to come in before I close the door. Lol such a nosey man. Also, did I mention he watches us shower? We have glass doors. So as we shower he’s just there. Sitting. Watching. Waiting. Every move you make, every step you take, he’ll be watching you.

Anubis may be watching the water beading on the glass shower doors or the rivulets of water running down the doors while you shower. It might not be quite as creepy as you think. ;)
If you are willing to share, have you moved, or are you still with your parents & siblings? I just discovered & finished reading your thread earlier this week & feel so attached to Anubis and his remarkable story.

Hello beautiful people and cats! It has been a while since I last posted here. Just want to let you all know that Anubis is still a crazy speed racer and my beloved Princess is now considered a senior. They are barely allowing themselves to be touched by their human baby sister who is now 1 year old.
First 2019 picture of Mr. Anubis. Till this day whenever we’re about to feed him he stands on his hind legs with his front paws on the wall because he wants to look sexy

Great to hear from you, lallorona lallorona . Anubis's story is one of the best happy ending threads I've ever followed on TCS. Thanks for the update, and pics.
:cloud9: An Anubis update and photo-shoot. :cheerleader::loveeyes: :bliss:
He is such an adorable guy, honestly. That face is far too cute for anyone's good other than his. I just love his expression in that top picture - he hasn't changed a bit from his once-healthy young self. Thank you so much for letting us know how he's doing.

@ lallorona, Hi & a very, very belated congratulations on your daughter!
I don't know how I missed so much! (after the forum changed, I didn't/don't always get email thread notifications :ohwell:).
It's great to hear & see how well Anubis is still doing. :petcat:

Hello everyone,
It’s been a little over a year since a last post. This thread has gone silent for quite some. I’ve been thinking about all of you and wondering how your precious babies are doing? I hope you are all safe and well during these hard times. I just wanted to check in and say hello. Im not sure if anyone remembers Anubis, but here’s a pic😀

Of course we remember Anubis! He was a very lucky kitty! He is still as handsome as ever. I recall you had another kitty as well. How is she doing?

More importantly, how are you and your daughter doing? Is she into everything as a two-year-old?

It is wonderful to hear from you! As you can see, we are all still here helping our members with their cats and kittens. ❤

I'm pretty sure those of us who followed this thread in the early days, will never forget Anubis, or the joy we felt when his, and your, fight for his survival was successful. Thanks for the update, and the precious photo of that darling cat. :redheartpump:

Keep doing everything you are doing. He might make it. I understand not everyone has money for a vet and it is very unfortunate. We have a vet in our area that is super low cost and when I mean super low, I mean like, literally nothing. They are an old couple that just wants to help. With that said, if you had not have picked up that kitten and tried, he would have surely died. As of right now he is alive. Just keep one loving on him. If he does cross the rainbow bridge, just know you have done EVERYTHING you humanly could. Also, take a little peace in knowing he/she found someone that cared, even if for a short time. I hope this kitten makes it. I agree he does need to go to a vet and maybe if you post online, someone will take him who can afford to take him to a vet. Maybe a Go Fund Me on facebook? Just for the vet bill? I would donate what I could. I think we are all barely surviving at the moment. They have to have shots for sure at this age so help the chances of survival. I am also new to being a kitten mommy. I have a stray that showed up a couple of months ago and decided to take up residence on my front porch. She had 9 kittens which is a little large for a stray semi-feral cat. I have had to nurse them almost every two hours along with the mommy. I now separate them so they will keep gaining. Do you have a scale?
