Nicole brought Chile and she used a new recipe. There were small carrot slices and corn which gave it a pretty color.
Black beans and white beans as well. They usually use ground beef and steak but she only used steak this time and
I like it better.

Not sure what I'm having tonight.

I had Giant Eagle hold a loaf of their artisan multigrain sourdough bread for me and Sherry will pick that up today.
It's on sale!

About hummus, can you buy mini containers where you live?
I'll have to check the grocery store. I never paid too much attention to hummus before. Hopefully I can find a small container to try.

1/2 can baked bean in tomato sauce
Homemade or canned? Did you put the baked beans on the toast? I always find canned baked beans to be boring and sweet.

grated carrots
I should try grated carrots on my veggie sandwich sometime.

carrot slices and corn
That sounds good. The more veggies the better. We are having chili tonight, but I think the only veggie in it is onions, and chunks of tomato. For lunch I had a veggie sandwich on toasted whole grain wheat bread I got from Aldi, their store brand, the wider/bigger one. I really like this bread. I put cheese, tomato, spinach, onion, mayo, hot sauce, but I also added cashews. The nuts gave my sandwich a meaty taste which I loved!

Just the canned ones. The only brand/flavour I like is Heinz original in tomato sauce. I tried a maple syrup version once, and it was sickly sweet. Oh, beans not on the bread, but I did eat it together.

That sounds yummy.

Not sure what I'm having tonight. Will be something from the freezer, I think.

LTS3 LTS3 I don't think it looks bad at all. If it tastes good, and I'm sure it does, it worked!

I'm thinking of doing a ham slice tonight. I'll make one baked sweet potato and then one baked white potato. Mash each separately and then put half of the mashed potatoes in each shell. And then bake them again. I've done it before and it looks rather pretty that way. My BIL gave us a pint of their canned corn, in exchange for a pint of my sweet zucchini relish, so we'll heat that up tonight, too.

I don't know why, but whenever I think of ham, I always think of sweet potatoes and of corn. It seems to me that all three go together very well.

I've never heard of those, I'll look for them tomorrow when I go to my dr. appointment.

For lunch I had a veggie sandwich with Aldi whole grain wheat bread, toasted. This time I put canned green peas on it! It was really good, but next time I think I will mix the peas in with the mayo first, so they stay on the sandwich better. I also used spinach, onion, and cheese.

For dinner we are having fresh asparagus, baked in the oven and I'll probably have some leftover chicken breast from the whole chicken we cooked the other day. I need to use up my blue cheese dressing, so I will put that on the chicken.

It's just very brown and blah looking. A side of greens or something colorful would have helped.

I sauteed the leftover mushrooms and spinach I had in the fridge. White, baby bella, and the rest of the mushroom mix with some butter, leftover diced onion, and garlic. That went with the leftover 5 spiced chicken and some rice.
