WHAT a difference being "someone's cat" made to him!
I know how you feel about long drives to the doctor. I hope everything went okay.A doctor appointment today in the city. Very long trip and long day.
Petting snakes? Ewww!as they were friendly, I just would have petted them too.
I have evidence that cats help with the patching.I am patching
Oh dear. I hope it wasn't a burglar.I know my outer door was not as I left it
Awww... Fayola's beautiful. Do you have a thread on her, and how she came to be with you?But seriously... I could not help myself. She's really enjoying being an indoor cat and if you met her, you almost wouldn't be able to tell that she spent the past decade or more on the streets.
LOL.Mine is slow but antiques are harder to glue together.,
Sending vibes for a furever home for the kitty.Asking for prayers, hopes, good vibes and wishes for a 14 year old kitty that needs to be adopted quickly in California.
An hour later and Banjo is still in the kitty pool guarding the green Pom Pom.
Yes, classical music is amazing. As for opera, I'm not a huge fan, but there are some singers I love including, but not limited to, Renee Fleming, Andrea Bocelli, and the immortal Callas.tarasgirl06 I donāt know for sure if anyone got in but if they did, I havenāt discovered anything missing yet. I have asked my neighbors to keep watch. Hoping it wasnāt a neighbor too! Lol
Dad dad da da da da da dum dum dum! My Dad used to play the 1812 Overture as well. He had a passion for great phonograph equipment and the speakers would practically quiver at the end. I developed a very wide appreciation for music that Sarah also enjoyed. She had her own favorites as well. Vivaldi Four Seasons is the first that comes to mind. Her pediatrician liked Opera and I was not well versed in that but he made tapes for Sarah that we both enjoyed. I grew up with a couple of folk music singers practicing in our home. I am still in touch with one of them and he recently brought me his most recent recordings. I still love hearing him sing and play. He plays some of the old music but has also written some lovely songs. I also enjoy George Winston, modern popular music and almost any other type. Music can move us in many ways.
Iām always going to advocate for cats. Iāll be working on that lady. Lol In fact, I went around her to let others know about the colony she mentioned. I donāt know if they will locate it but itās worth trying.
My appointment was a bit frustrating since the specialist and my GP donāt seem to agree on anything. Lol My GP sent me there too. It seems that a fracture was missed? Hmmmm. May be going for a āCatā scan. The cat will figure it out. Itās still a matter of just healing. Itās nice to be asked and checked on! Caring is always appreciated.
M maggiedemi I know you do understand about the travel AND the doctor visits. Neither is fun. It seems we both have some healing to do and I hope yours is going well. Mine is slow but antiques are harder to glue together.,
You really made me laugh with the Ewww about petting snakes. I would show you a photo but most people would go Ewwww!
The friendly ones are really not yucky to pet. Not furry but kind of nice. The king snake that lives here is very tame and calm. It knows me now and doesnāt run. I donāt think it is scared of me now. That is one of the very best kinds of snakes to have around. They protected the kitties when they were outside from aggressive snakes. Me too!
Cats definitely help with patching. I have a patching crew here and Iād be lost without them.
If it was a burglar, they came to the wrong house. I had one once but I scared them away and they didnāt come back. Boo!
Graceful-Lily Well hi! Itās so nice to see you and Fayola. She looks so good now. Those are really sweet pictures. It makes me very happy to see her happy and playing now. Thanks to you for doing that for her. Sheās such a beautiful kitty!
Asking for prayers, hopes, good vibes and wishes for a 14 year old kitty that needs to be adopted quickly in California.
Our smiles for tonight come from more than one!
Move over kitties. I have to take the trash to the trash can.

View attachment 304710
No!!! No little guy. Donāt get in my trash!
View attachment 304711
Stop. You can hear me.
View attachment 304712
Not leaving? What if I turn on the alarm?
View attachment 304713
That made you put your ear back huh?
View attachment 304714
Youāre hungry huh? If you leave the trash alone, Iāll give you something good!
View attachment 304715
Oh.... that perked your ears up! Lol
View attachment 304716
I had to put the broom out the door to get him to move away but I got the trash put away. I kept my promise though. This is the same youngster that visited during the storm. I guess he couldnāt find supper tonight anywhere else. Since I donāt want him after Froggie, I put some cat food away from the door. Heās busy eating out by the trash cans now. He looks really happy as heās munching away. Heās got such a cute little face. Froggie is safe. I found him well above the back door.
Pom poms are everywhere now. Mitsy has collected a few! Lol

Whistle picked out his favorite. He always picks a favorite!

View attachment 304727
Uh oh. Banjo, letās give that back to Whistle.
View attachment 304728
No. Froggie likes it so.......
Iām saving this one for Froggie.
View attachment 304729
I guess I shouldnāt have shown that one to Froggie. I wonder if they sell bags of nothing but green pom poms?
An hour later and Banjo is still in the kitty pool guarding the green Pom Pom.
Have a green, great night/morning everyone!
Thanks for sharing these, Graceful-Lily and Fayola! What a little beauty, and that's a great wand toy she has!View attachment 304699

Okay, goodnight!
But seriously... I could not help myself. She's really enjoying being an indoor cat and if you met her, you almost wouldn't be able to tell that she spent the past decade or more on the streets.
Somehow, I must have missed them. Can you briefly post her story here?
Happy to see Fayola playing!Wand toys are so much fun!!
Yes, a patching crew is a wonderful thing to have.I have a patching crew here and Iād be lost without them.
Is that a possum? He's cute. No!!! No little guy. Donāt get in my trash!
Demi seems to like the color yellow for some reason.Green seems to be popular around here.
If they are poisonous and bite me, I only have like 15 minutes to live, and a 30 minute drive to the hospital, so no way am I petting them.don't understand the bias some people have against them -- the same Creator made them as made us!
Most snakes are NOT venomous! They are harmless to humans. They have a lot more to fear from us than we do from them. Let them alone and they are no threat to humans. Most snakes only bite in self-defense. But yes, most times, it's best just to let them live their snakey lives and not touch.Happy to see Fayola playing!

That's alright, it was in pieces anyway.Somehow, I must have missed them. Can you briefly post her story here?
Thanks for sharing Fayola's story. And thanks for helping the cats.I guess you can call her a foster fail but I feel like it's fate she came back after all these years. Prior to her capture, I hadn't seen her since Felix was a kitten. I used to feed her in my backyard when I was only 12 years old. Now, I'm almost 21.
I'm not a fan of snakes, but I'd never want to hurt them. Unfortunately, I mowed into one once. It was a green garter snake. A neighbour picked it up with a shovel and put it in the backyard behind the shed. I didn't see it again, or go looking for it, but hope it didn't die.I have removed them from being mowed or run over but I would never fool with one that is venemous.
I remember that now. And because of your warning, I didn't click the link. So glad she had a happy ending.
Thanks. I'll check it out.If you want to see a sweet story that is going on right now......
Help, I found a feral kitten.
An absolutely beautiful kitten was found and has the most wonderful human helping him. The photos will make you Awwwww!
You are true advocate for cats, and for TCS. Thanks.. I invited her to join us on the site. The more people actively in our corner, the better. I love it when an opportunity arises. I hope I said all the right things to convince her.
Thanks for the chuckle, and the pics.He then proceeded to walk across the room , trailing a long piece of paper. He seemed to be happy for it to stay there too.
I went into the bathroom to investigate and expected to find a destroyed roll of tissue. Nope! Just a couple of pieces were removed. I guess he only needed enough to stick to his foot for a laugh. He really is my laughing cat!
You can check out the online version as well.Sorry about the loss of your friend. I remember having a best friend who would call everyday on the phone. I don't have one now, living way out here.
I haven't been to a dollar store in forever, I should check them out.
Your FURmily is so lovely, every one of them! But I must confess, aesthetically speaking, to being a huge Bonjure fantarasgirl06 As you know, I love Bocelli too. Iām not really an Opera fan either but there seems to be a bit of almost every type of music that I do find I like. Except maybe for Rap. Lol Maybe I just havenāt found the piece I like yet? I keep an open mind.
Slither! I love the name. Snakes do get a bad rap. Although I leave them alone for the most part, I have removed them from being mowed or run over but I would never fool with one that is venemous. I suggest that no one unfamiliar with snakes ever try to handle one. My Uncle was in charge of the living creatures at a local Science center here and he did some work with snakes so I got a lot of exposure and education about them. He had an Anaconda at home. Lol Yikes! Biiiig boy! I prefer kitties at home.
We all agree here that green is beautiful! Especially Froggie green. Banjo guarded that Pom Pom all night.
Thanks about the fracture. Iām sure it is healing.
rubysmama The story of Fayola is one I did link here but there were difficulties so I put a spoiler alert at the time. Itās wonderful that she looks soooo happy now. Sheās a beauty! Happy ending for sure.

M maggiedemi That is a young opossum. He first came here for shelter during a storm. A lot of critters showed up around that time. Did you see the Armadillos? They are cute too!
Banjo is the leader of the patching crew. Besides making me laugh she found me a tube of gorilla glue! Lol
Maybe Demi likes yellow because itās a reminder of butterflies and flowers!
And , NO! Donāt pet any snakes.
I spent the day sharing stories of my friend but resting some this evening. Itās getting chilly here and the kitties wanted to cuddle so we did! I brought out lots of blankets and we had a snuggle fest! They also picked out a new toy on Chewy! Muffin finally convinced me to place an order and see how we like Chewy. We got kitty food, litter, Flea treatments that kill larvae ( the one we have been using is the same brand but doesnāt kill eggs or larvae do we are going to switch up to see if it works) we also ordered some DE to try. Then we got to the toy section! My goodness they have a lot to choose from. We found a toy bird that is stuffed with catnip but also makes a bird noise if they touch it. Iām kind of thinking that Whistle might be scared or it but some of the others may like it. I have seen a lot of people here mention their cats loving the toy springs so we got a giant package of those. I think theyāll be a big hit. Banjo helped me place the order and the lady was very helpful. We chatted a bit at the end and , since she noticed I ordered a rather large amount of food the conversation came around to cat rescues and TCS! Give me an opening.....Iām going to take it! I let her know that I had placed the order with them because of seeing them on TCS and having someone here suggest them to me. The talk came around to my rescues and that I want to encourage others to rescue too. I talked about what everyone here does and how many happy endings come about here. It ended with her saying she was going to tell their customers about us! She said she will be encouraging them to get involved in TNR and rescues in their areas. I really think she will too! Sometimes you can tell that people are just mildly interested but she kept me talking long after the sale was completed and she was very enthusiastic. It wasnāt a sales tactic, she was really interested and asked many good questions. New recruit!?!?!? She is in a position to spread the word! She even stopped me to take down some information! Maybe another kitty will be rescued as a result or another TNR group will pop up where none existed before. I invited her to join us on the site. The more people actively in our corner, the better. I love it when an opportunity arises. I hope I said all the right things to convince her.
Here is the day with the kitties.
Itās getting cooler here now.

BJ decided to share the warmth with his lady Flowers. No surprise there!

I tried to get Goldie, Blue and Mountain to allow some photos but they donāt always enjoy the spotlight. I got the front of Blue and the back of Mountain. Goldie said,ā no photos please!ā

Blue did oblige with a beautiful shot of his beautiful face. You can see that he and BJ are related but the eyes are certainly different!
