Can you rearrange the furniture so he can't climb up there? Knowing kids, he'd probably put something on the floor in front of the window to climb up on.

Speaking of Lucifer, have you seen The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix?
I have never watched Sabrina. Nothing there that peaked my interest. Besides, she's not tall, gorgeous and has a British accent.

Can't wait for Good Omens though.

My friend and I are counting the days left for first episode. Counting today - 34 days left. I got him started on Sir Terry's books a couple of years ago. Good Omens was the first I had him read.

My neighbor just came over, all excited. It seems that a pair of birds has built a nest and laid two eggs IN MY DOOR WREATH! No wonder Hekitty has been watching out the window so intently! I hope the poor things can manage to bring them to hatching there. I'm going to limit my "inning and outing" as much as I can! I'll try to get a picture in the next day or so.

I had a bird build a nest and hatched eggs in the light fixture in my carport once. Then I watched as a snake made his way up the pole and ate the chicks.
Now I knock down the nest everytime he/she starts to build it there.

I hope yours make it.

It's the circle of life. . .sad though.

When we first moved here, there was a light fixture on my parents' porch that was conducive to barn swallow nesting. They built a nest there and raised the babies. But they got bird mites that went all over the porch, and we couldn't use the front door without the parent bird dive-bombing us. So when they left my dad changed the light to something they couldn't nest on. That was in 1995, 24 years ago. The barn swallows STILL come back and scope it out for nesting every year. It can't be the originals---they don't live that long. The stories must be passed down to future generations around the birdie campfire.

My youngest nephew is about that age. My brother calls him a category 4 hurricane . Just set him down and woosh, he's off, climbing on the table or playing in the toilet or trying to go downstairs. . .yikes.

Aedan caught a cold. I caught it from him. It's hit me so much harder. I guess those breast milk antibodies are still doing their job. I'll wean him eventually, but I'm glad I haven't, yet. And I'm gonna continue being a miserable baby cuz I'm bad at being sick.

Does anyone happen to know if that nest can be moved? I know SOME species will go to a nest that has been relocated...do all?

If you move the entire wreath somewhere nearby, I think they might be OK with it. If you take it out of the wreath they probably won't.

My brother, until recently, worked at Target. A couple of months ago, he was helping to unload a shipment from Ohio, and it turned out a cat had stowed away in the truck

He wound up taking the cat home. He's just as much into classical mythology as I am, and so he picked the perfect name to honor this cat's odyssey-Ulysses.

How big was the snake? They really creep me out.
