There's a kitty here that has loose skin. I keep trying to feel under her to see if she has big nipples. I'm afraid she could have some kittens. But she might have just been starving and lost a lot of weight. I'm not sure what to do for her. I doubt my rescue group will want to fix her, given that the apartment manager will just have them killed off anyway.

We desperately need a sanctuary somewhere for your female. Anywhere! Or someone willing to work with a few until they can be adopted. Fosters, help!Yes!

And let's not forget the ghost of the big black cat that roams the tunnels beneath the White House, appearing to apparently warn the staff of impending disasters. He's quite famous. EVERYONE wants to see him, but NOBODY wants to see him!

Wow! I didn't know anything about him until now. I do know about the very famous Socks, though, and I have several memorabilia of her, including a pawtographed postcard thanking me for writing to her.

I think Whistle told me they call the ghost kitty , DC. Paw prints are in the lower level of the Rotunda.
The earliest stories are that he scared a night watchman! Lol Supposedly jumped upon him but it was really just for kitty kisses!
I actually had Velcro yesterday but she managed to push a poorly latched door open.
Before the escape!
Human thinks she has me. I’ll play it cool and eat the chicken first. 
However, she is now here. She growled and hissed at me at first. Poor Velcro. I took her to the vet. No chip!
They checked her collar and according to them, it is not too tight.
She was very well behaved during the visit and although I took my gloves we did not need them.
They checked her belly and she is not nursing. They can’t promise she isn’t pregnant though. I have to try and find her owner before I can do much more. I already called every vet within a huge radius. I sent photos too. My vet logged her in there and I called the animal shelter. I’m told that I can turn her in there but....... they are a kill shelter. I’ve put up signs and done all I know to do at this point. I am searching lost pets on the internet but don’t have Facebook. No lost pets are reported matching anything near her description anywhere in nearby towns or counties. Sadly, I did see a kitten that was recently adopted from a foster I know , has gone missing. A little tuxedo named Shrimp! They just got the kitten in December!
People! People! Please keep your babies inside , in a Catio or on a harness! Unless you live in an amazing place, things just happen! My heart hurt after going through the pages of missing kitties!
I am hoping that I find the family of Velcro. I don’t want to give her up if I don’t. She’s awesome! I just can’t keep all the kitties. Velcro needs a place! Beautiful Velcro! I found out she is super playful! She is now sitting on a chair in the bathroom awaiting her newly prepared lodging. I’m still figuring out where to put her.

Can they tell if she's been spayed or not? I guess not if they can't promise she's not pregnant. Or is she definitely not spayed?

They just squeezed us in today and I think they only got us in to help me. It was a very brief exam so I don’t know anymore. Unless they can determine a scar, I expect it would take a hormone test or it could be determined if she is pregnant from ultrasound if I wish to go that route. I want to talk to the director of the HS before going forward. There are rules I have to follow.
