Hello. My name is Tim. My wife and I had two cats for over 15 years, Hobbes and Bongo. We lost Bongo last July and Hobbes in December and we miss them very much.

We now have two new kitties, Joey and Jasper, both around 10 months old.

We decided to get a third kitty a couple of weeks ago so we adopted a tiny little girl from a cat rescue and named her Gracie. She started to throw up worms the very first day so we took her back to get checked out and they kept her over night to keep an eye on her. The next morning we got a call that she had died in the night. We were both heart broken.
She was the fifth cat we had gotten and all were rescues.
Last week we went to look at some Maine Coon kittens that are 7 weeks old and they had one left and we fell in love with her. We have to wait until she's 12 weeks old before we can take her home so that's four long weeks from now but we get to visit her any time we want.
Here's a few pics of the new kitty.

A warm welcome to TCS! :hellosmiley: You came to the perfect site since your wife and you have such a fond affection for cats. My deepest regrets over the loss of Hobbs and Bongo, as well as the tiny kitten, Gracie.

Your new furry crew are positively precious - Joey, Jasper and your soon to be adopted Maine Coon kitty. :lovecat3: BTW, have you decided on a name for your new kitten?

Thank you for sharing all the pics of your cat family with us. I look forward to hearing more about your present cats. In the meantime, please feel free to check out some of the excellent Articles and resources that are available on the site.

What a lovely clowder of kitties! Welcome to the Cat Site. You will love it here.

So sorry about your losses but I'm very happy that didn't deter you from adopting again. Best wishes to you and all your felines!

Thank you. Hobbes (my avatar) was my buddy and I still have a hard time some days. Joey (the black & white one) has attached himself to me so that helps a lot.

I have a surprising update about the new kitten. The shelter that we got Joey from knew that my wife wanted to get a real musher after Gracie died and two days ago she contacted us and said that she had a 6 month old female Maine Coon for us. We couldn't believe it. My wife went and saw her yesterday and brought her home the same day and she's doing great with Joey and Jasper. We contacted the breeder and they were great about it and said that there was no problem with us backing out. This worked out great for us as we have always done rescues.

This is Julie. As you can see, she's already made herself at home.
