I took this in Depew, NY in '85, on an excursion between Buffalo and Corning, NY. Nickel Plate Railroad 2-8-4 Berkshire 765.
I sort of regret not shooting more slides. I shot mostly B&W because it was easy to process and print at home.
Invited onboard a stopped Northbound at Hamilton, Oh....

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I shot what I did, WHEN I did, but doing it again, I'd likely do it a little different.

Sorry, mine uses SDHC cards, but it is quite probable that there is someone out there who does use them.

I ask bc I kinda sort of... messed up. Got a new camera, a Sony A6000. I love it, it's great, but I needed an extra memory card and I wanted something super fast. I found the QXD cards and they looked perfect. I didn't give it a thought, I was like, Sony camera, sony cards, they'll be compatible.
Yeah.... no. And I bought it from a local camera store that doesn't accept returns on memory cards once they're opened. It's never been used - it wouldn't fit in my camera... so I'm looking to just send it to someone who could use it.
If anyone's camera takes them, reply here or PM me and it's yours.

Just wanted to pop in and say WOW ... I've missed a lot of beautiful pics over the holidays.
I have a plan... it's supposed to be clear on Thursday... I hope to get up early enough to get some good pics of the snow in our desert mountains. I always find it such an interesting contrast to see the bare desert valley full of cactus and yucca with the mountains covered in snow in the background. I'm hoping the early morning light will give me some interesting color temperatures and contrasts...
The challenge being actually getting up that early... I'm not exactly a morning bird.
