Instant yeast is harder to "kill" than fresh yeast, if that's what you're worried about Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 . I prefer instant yeast when I bake. You don't have check the temp of your liquids with instant yeast.

I'm on my own for dinner tonight and I'm clueless. Maybe tuna salad or a some kind of sandwich. Maybe just nothing. We have some Lean Cuisine dinners in the freezer that we bought when they were on sale; I'm not overly impressed with them. I'll see what hits me.

And it was the above. A bit early still, but who cares? :agree:

Cats got a nice mixture of ground whole rabbit, egg yolk, and additional liver and some boneless chicken chunks.
Dogs got some boneless chicken chunks, chicken hearts, chicken wings and some tripe. Each got 1/3-1/4 egg and shell.
Shells are spit everywhere. Brats don't eat them all the time.
Everyone had a lunch time snack of goats milk.
Except for me.
I didn't get a lunch time at all but mid afternoon we treated ourselves to a small pasta dish (and the coma that follows).

I think I've seen that video before. I don't remember where or why, but the guy looks familiar.

M maggiedemi The recipe for the Amish Potato Filling can be found here: Recipes - Side Dishes And Vegetables Go down to the bottom of the page.

Got the chicken prepped with the seasonings last night and it's been in the fridge; I'm going to use the chicken "innerds" in the gravy. I also cut the bread into cubes and toasted it last night. We're ready to go for the rotisserie-style chicken and the Amish potato filling. I think I'll either make some roasted glazed carrots or some peas with thyme, something simple to go with the chicken and potatoes. I had a bit of cranberry relish in the freezer and took it out last night, stuck it in the fridge to thaw. Not sure about a dessert, but I'm thinking of making some homemade chocolate pudding....just something simple that doesn't take a lot of time.

TV dinners just don't taste as good as they used to. I think they're using more fake ingredients, or maybe more soy?

We've had Pacific tomato soup, and we heartily agree!
Are those the soups in the cardboard carton? I don't know, they usually taste like cr@p to me. But maybe I'll give that specific one you mentioned a try.

Thank you! I haven't been getting my notifications to this thread for some reason. :headscratch:

Maggiedemi,

Since you think my food taste like crap I won't post in this section anymore. Excuse me, but I am not a gourmet cook like you guys are. If I don't eat processed food I don't eat.

No way! I don't think that at all. Just the brands I have tried have tasted bad. Oh dear, please come back! :(
