So sad so many of these babies never know a childhood. We had one tummy ache and a stuck poop in 10 months with Frog and Toad. They don't know anything but love. It breaks my heart in so many ways to see all of these little babies you take and every other rescue also that tries to make a difference. Kittens grow fast lets home she outpaces her wounds.View attachment 188472
Chestnut is still at the vet! The abscess on her front leg is the most concerning. He said worse case they may end up having to amputate. He is going to try to stretch the skin and stitch it some what closed today after he flushes it out. She also had a small abscess on her back leg and a little puncture wound on her neck. She is in so much pain but she is such a sweetie! VERY skinny. You can feel every bone.
whoever dumped her and let her end up hurt should lose a leg too. What a cutie she is! I hope that it isn't necessary to amputate, but at her age, she won't remember even having that let in a month! I am constantly amazed at how well cats adjust to amputations, even older ones. They just take a peek, say, "OH...that's different," and get on with the business of living large.
She may not have been dumped. She looks about the age where she may have climbed into an engine and the parking lot is where she ended up.whoever dumped her and let her end up hurt should lose a leg too.
