It sounds like she really likes her wet food. As long as she's getting her 6oz of wet food, that's pretty good if she's not losing weight.
Well I try to get her to eat two 3oz cans of wet food, but sometimes she doesn't eat as much as I expect, and then it worries me. Like about an hour ago she followed me into the kitchen cause I was gonna give her some treats. So I thought I'd add those treats to her left over wet food and sorta encourage her to eat the rest of her wet food, but she wouldn't even try to eat the wet food, not even the treats in her wet food. =/

I used to think my cats weren't eating enough too. But cats are all so different. Some may eat lots where others don't need so much. Just keep experimenting with amounts and it will come together. Has she eaten any of her dry?

As long as she's eating at least 6oz of food per day, I wouldn't worry too much. You can play around with the amounts. If she only wants to eat half a can of Fancy Feast three times a day, then maybe put a Tablespoon or 1/8 Cup of dry food with it on a separate plate. You can use dry food with her timed meals instead of leaving it out if you want.

I have another problem that I hope someone here can help me with. Ever since day 1 of adopting my cat, she always follows me into the kitchen and expects me to give her more food, even though she just ate and has a bit of dry food out for her. (1/4 cup of dry food.) However, what I've noticed more closely tonight than other days, is that she will literally flop down on the kitchen floor right in front of the fridge, and will not budge at all while someone's in the kitchen. It's like she becomes a stone and will not move even if you try to pick her up or nudge her a little bit. If I do try to move her, she gets mad and overly/excessively whiny. It's starting to become more of an annoyance than anything else, really. =/ Can someone help me with this, please? Thanks.
Just ignore her and shut the light off when you leave the kitchen

I'm not intending on taking her for walks actually. I bought a cat harness and a 10ft tie-on rope, so I'll be hooking that rope onto a stationary object where she's still able to walk around the area without too much restriction.
I have read that it is very dangerous to tie a cat out , even if you are right there. If something frightens her she could get tangled up and hurt herself before you could get to her.

:wave3:Tammy is beautiful and you are a fantastic fur baby daddy. After Gypsy allowed us to become her loving minions I researched flea treatments. I read many bad reviews on some of the best sellers so I chose PetArmor once a month topical application. It kills fleas, ticks & chewing lice. $18.00 for 3 treatments at Walmart. Making sure to place it correctly at the base of her neck, she has shown no adverse reactions. She's an ex stray who goes outside with us in her harness so flea treatment is a must. Rabies shot is the law in our state. When we were feeding her outside she ate the cheap wet food but has become quite the picky eater after moving inside with us. After eating Sheba for awhile she decided she didn't care for it anymore so we moved on to Fancy Feast. Then she started just licking the juices and leaving the meat! Now she gets Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers and eats it all. We give her 3 spoonfuls at a time putting a lid on the can and keeping it in the fridge. She doesn't overeat so we leave a little bit of dry food, Purina One hairball formula, out so she can graze. We have 2 bowls of fresh water out at all times. We give her Purina Dental and Whiskas Temptations dental treats. I got a cat toothbrush & paste but haven't tried to use it yet. You should create some albums on your home page for her pictures and also post photos on some of the threads like the Post your sleeping beauties, Yoga & Gymnastics, Show me the Eyes, Tender moments etc...
Don't fret so much. You are doing great.:catrub:

Seems she'll eat her dry food only if there's a bit of water added to it to give it some extra flavor. But then I have wasted dry food left overs and that's stressful because it's a waste of money too. =/

She barely eats her dry food unless there's some water added to it. =/ She was never like this before putting her on scheduled meals with wet food.

Yeah I don't think I'm gonna let her go outside after all, to be honest. Lot of crazy things can happen to cats that go outside. =/ Yeah my cat loves the gravy stuff too. In fact when she first came to live with me I bought some cans of the sliced up Fancy Feast gravy stuff and she loved it. Then when I got paid just recently I wanted to buy in bulk, and where I'm still trying to get used to what she likes and don't like, forgot to buy what she liked in the beginning and just bought a variety pack of this "pate" stuff, and I've noticed she doesn't eat much of it. Definitely not as much as the Fancy Feast sliced gravy stuff anyway. So I went downtown just a little while ago and bought some of what she liked in the beginning, gave her about half of a 3oz can, and she was chowing down like there was no tomorrow! She ate pretty much all of it, except just a tiny tiny bit on the plate. So I think I'm gonna stick with what she's always enjoyed and forget about buying that lame "pate" stuff. =/

I do post photos and videos to her own photo album on my Facebook. In fact, you can find the public link in my signature on here actually.

She would probably love Friskies Shreds then, my male cat goes crazy for it.

M maggiedemi I'm really scared. My cat just used the litter box, and it was really runny. After she was done using it, I noticed on the outer part of the litter box, a bit of what looks like blood. Not much, just a small blob, but still worried. Then she sat down on the floor and got up, and I saw another bit of blood. I saw another bit stuck to her fur around her bum. Should I be worried or am I just over-reacting?

I would take her to the vet; just to check it out. Immediately if it gets worse/she gets dehydrated/probably if it continues; in a day or two if not (it could be parasites.) I know cats can get bloody runs from having such bad case of the trots ... but still just to be safe *shrugs*

Sorry Mike, I'm just now seeing this. Yes, please take her to the vet. Blood is never good. It sounds like it could be parasites.

I thought that her previous vaccinations covered parasites though. :( And I'm broke with no money so what if they charge me? Oh my... :( :( :( I'll try calling them and see what they recommend.

There are no vaccinations against worms and giardia. Has she been de-wormed?
