i think i'll watch a tv show.
Just got into work and am drinking my morning coffee while surfing about.
Work should be fairly easy today as I finished my plan reviews on Friday and am still working on pictures and graphics for the document I'm working on. Fairly easy can also mean a little on the slow side though, too.

Just got home from play group with my kids. They are having lunch now. This morning, I picked up my new cast iron bbq skillet that I won and I can't wait to try it out. It's noisy here today, the road is dug up and they are making a lot of noise.
In place as usual. My ac stopped working last night but was seen to this evening and it's all better. It was horrendous without the ac. So hot.
Finished my book at last and it was very mixed up. Started a new one.
Watched a film in the morning then dropped off. Put the TV back on at 8pm.
Both cats came flying through the sitting room after large flying cockroach OMG. Whisky caught it and Charles,the ex, got it away from him and killed it. Yuck.
Getting my hair cut Thursday at 4.30pm. I can't wait. Coloured as well.
Reading the threads. Wondering will I sleep tonight. It's 1.50am.

Just got into work and am drinking my coffee. Really tired this morning; we didn't get much sleep last night at all. It's going to be a long day. I'd really like to go over to the farmers' market today at lunch, but with the mood I'm in, I think it's too dangerous. Too many cookies and pastries over there and it would be a battle right now. Best to stay away.
I won it on the weekend. I haven't had a chance to use it yet since its been windy and cool this week. It's supposed to warm up after today so I'm planning on making bbq fajitas on it.
Here's the photo they took when I picked it up. Aimee was telling them that Santa must go there a lot because they have a lot of fireplaces (it's a heating and cooling store and they sell grills and expensive accessories)
I'm packing tomorrow going away to celebrate my 50th birthday. Wow I can't believe tonight is my last 40ish Eve.

In position feeling quite awake. I cut my hair today. From the middle of my back to just below my ears. The proof in the pudding will be when I wash it,towel dry it and leave it.
I'm sorry to say my back is very very sore today and sitting 3 hours at the hairdresser's didn't help even though I took my cushion with me. I've made an appointment for physio therapy. The date I got is the 5th September. Another month and a half.
When I went to pay the hairdresser neither of my two plastics were accepted. There's funds so it's a bank foul up. That means I have to waste time going to the bank and getting it sorted out. D nuisances. Luckily my ex was there as I'd invited him out for supper so he paid the hairdresser and supper. Hee hee hee.
I'm reading threads and making my usual highly intelligent remarks/comments. I couldn't decide which word fit best.
It was less hot today but by the time I got home at 9pm I was soooo hot and sweaty that I've got the ac on and I'm nice and comfortable.
I watched a film this morning and a film this evening. That's all the TV I watched today except for a half hour programme on BBC.
I'm wracking my brains trying to think of something amusing to say but my mind's a blank so

just relaxing. very soon will make the cats their evening snack, and make myself a sandwich for my dinner.
it is very cool for this time of the year here, summer. we've had a couple days of highs in the upper 50's and high gusty winds too. i've actually had the wood stove going on and off! we're forecast to start warming back up towards normal june temperatures tomorrow.
oh, i'd swap the weather here for hot/very hot weather!

Very cool here, too. We've managed to get into the low 60s, but barely. Yesterday was a bit warmer and today is to be warmer yet. Nights have been downright chilly, in the mid-to-upper 40s.
Just got to work. I have some changes to make in a chart and that will probably take a hour or longer. The changes are no trouble; it's trying to get the blasted chart from Excel into InDesign without destroying the thing in the process and making it look fairly legible, both online and in print. This whole Excel to InDesign thing is for the birds. Grrrrrrr
And yet.....here I sit.

It is very cool here today---almost cold!! Yesterday, I left the house wearing short sleeves. I was freezing! And the wind! It was gusting all day! Not wind, but gusts of wind.. It felt like the end of September.
Today is windy also, but not as bad as yesterday.
Saturday, I took my car for a car wash. It is a dark grey color. Yesterday I got in, look at the hood, and it was green!! from the pollen!! OMG... so bad. It needs to be washed again!!
Perhaps, the next time it rains, I will do as one of my neighbors does. She sits in the open parking area and lets the rain wash the pollen off her car! I may join her.

getting ready to make the cats a snack, then i'll broil all 4 of the bacon wrapped steaks -- the bacon and broiling always sets off the kitchen smoke detector temporarily, even with windows open and the range vent going. i'll have one bacon-wrapped steak for my lunch.
