You may share my nurse...see posts 427 & 428It looks scarey incase it catches on something and doesn't open.
I noticed I started reading this ages ago but had forgotten all of it.
I think maybe shrinks should be standing in the wings. Smile.

Mercy can turn into a ball of fur but she's so gentle you never feel a tooth or claw. She is sticky sweet. Mostly she tolerates all handling. She was a champ at the vet today as they held her little mouth open so the nice vet at the animal dental clinic could get a good look at the inside of her mouth all by phone. She's going in for a some work on June 29th to try and head off worse problems. the big issues have been ruled out and she needs some work on the fronts to remove excess tissue. Her back teeth are in perfect condition. Doctor Nolan did advise to not brush her teeth anymore as it might cause discomfort. And long term problems caring for her mouth.
I know what you mean about the arms and legs everywhere. Hekitty looks like one of those cartoons of a fight...the rolling ball in the middle, with arms and legs sticking out randomly! She is not fond of oral hygiene, Or baths. Or nail clipping. Or her flea meds. She does like to be brushed. YAY...I WIN ONE!
Mercy is a marvel. I quite vividly remember hearing my vet's receptionist say, "Hekitty is here!" and a wee, small voice way in the background replied, "Oh, God!' However, they handle her well and gently, if firmly, given her "Chainsaw Run Amok" persona at the office, and I have no complaints. Would that she could take a page from Cousin Mercy's Book of Proper Behavior!!!

She napped all afternoon. So tuckered out. She napped in her crate.
What exactly is a crate. Can you describe it for me. It seems big.Mercy can turn into a ball of fur but she's so gentle you never feel a tooth or claw. She is sticky sweet. I have several huge crates for home use and smaller ones to transport my cats to the vet. She was sleeping in her little portable one. What exactly is a crate. Can you describe it for me. It seems big.
Could you show me pictures of them please?I have several huge crates for home use and smaller ones to transport my cats to the vet. She was sleeping in her little portable one.
She's lucky I didn't take a broom to her. At first glace it looks like a raccoon invasion.
"Crate," in this context, is a synonym for "cat carrier." Since pet carriers are also available for large dogs, it's possible to get extremely large ones into which one can put food, water, a litter box, and bedding; which is mostly useful for segregating a cat at home. But for vet trips you want something small and easy to carry. What exactly is a crate. Can you describe it for me. It seems big.
