What's For Dinner? - 2022

Made meatballs,elbow mac and tomatoes and cheesy garlic bread for dinner.

I made this chicken enchilada casserole in the instant pot. J loved loved it! She has decided that beans look like footballs and kept asking for more "foo-ba"

Himself liked the ragu sauce over tri-color penne. I didn't. I ate it, but it will not be repeated.

Lunch was chicken strips with corn and mac and cheese. Dinner will be hot dogs, but I may go nuts and use mustard and pickle relish.

Our chili was good last night. I took the last of the last loaf of sourdough bread, sliced it thickly, threw together a bit of garlic butter and spread that on the slices, and the slathered shredded Cheddar over top. A quick broil and we had cheesy garlic bread. With the last of the create-a-crust apple pie. Didn't take Rick long to scarf that puppy down!

Tonight's dinner is my version of a Cracker Barrel breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, my version of their hashbrown casserole, biscuits, and fried apples for dessert. I may, or may not, make grits. Rick really likes grits and usually gets them at Cracker Barrel, but ewwww.

Lentil Spinach soup with french bread, and some grapes for dessert.
And piece of Hershey chocolate for my 2nd dessert.

I've been out-of-town for a week so too much catching up to do but tonight I'm making veggie stir-fry over brown rice. Fresh raspberries for dessert. My sister bought me these and I'm addicted now. Pumpkin Spice Espresso Beans

Busy day and we had hair cuts this afternoon...and we had glorious beautiful rain...almost 3"!So dinner was leftovers from last night.

I boiled some eggs, and I saved plenty for the dependents that were sitting at my feet. I used more eggs later on, and added onions and peppers for a....something. Omelette? Skillet bowl? Eggs and breath killers? It was good though.

hubby bought us a sub sandwich and it was very good and filling

Roast lamb! Should be nice. Hope they haven’t put mint sauce/jelly on it though.

Yet another Backyard Barbecue meal. Not bad. Not outstanding by a long shot. Filled the tummy, and tasted OK. That's all I really ask. Unless, of course, I am cooking. So, that was lunch. I kinda think that dinner will be either English muffins and a scrambled egg or Eggo waffles. Depends on how my sweet tooth feels at dinner time.

I'm making individual veggie pizzas for dinner with salad. I put more veggies I mine than DH. Honeycrisp apple for dessert.

BBQ pulled pork sandwiches with Potatoe Salad.

Great minds think alike! vansX2 We had pulled pork with sauteed sliced onion rolled up in burrito size tortillas. White shoepeg corn for the side.

Had a craving for soup,so I made a pot of ham and bean soup,loads of veggies in it,and I had peanut butter toast to go with while he had a bologna sandwich.

The Ham & Bean soup sounds delicious. I should look into making hearty soups. As this is becoming the season.
