Also, I wonder if she was just a very shy stray rather than a true feral? You're able to handle her and feed her by syringe, any true feral wouldn't allow that.Is she doing better? Also if you have any dry rice, you can fill a old sock with it or a pillow case and microwave it until it is nice and warm. Be sure it isn't too hot. It'll help build her strength by keeping her warm.

I don't know if she's better. When she's not drinking or urinating, she's dropped sleeping. I'm guessing she does not have any energy to be up for long. I think she hasn't had food for days, aside from licking the food. She got to the point she would barely eat, then not at all. Do you put her on the pillow case? Right now, I have a small heater directed at her. Also, I wonder if she was just a very shy stray rather than a true feral? You give me so much hope! My thoughts are in a much better place.Hi Vspin,
I've been in your exact situation before. You're doing great. Just remember that when you have a cat as sick as yours it's all about two things: Food, which they probably don't want because they are too sick to eat BUT can't get better without . . . And Medication. I've had to force/syringe feed many, many a sick feral, that's for sure.
I'm pulling for you and your girl. She is so amazingly lucky to have you. Remember that you're all she has.
It really is. The rice retains heat for quite a while. Do wrap the bag in a layer of toweling, though. That rice can get hot.The pillow case with rice is a good idea.
