I am looking all over the net for success with this. It seems it will damage the kidney and should only be done if the ureter is blocked.
I will try and check into this some more. Apparently a diet can work to dissolve the stone depending on the type.

Well the vet didn't think that the stone was blocking the ureter, one of the reasons to not do surgery, just that it was there. We're hoping that it'll pass. She's acting much more like herself since getting the SubQs. She's running around and chasing stuff. I'll know more when we take her back in for a checkup.
