He was lucky to be adopted by you folks who'd take on the challenge of getting him down to a healthy weight.

I just reread you first post, and saw that he was almost 9 at the time, and had just been neutered. I'm sure having his original owner die was stressful for him, but he's in a much better home now, with humans, a feline sister and canine siblings who all love him. :catlove:

Aww thanks rubysmama rubysmama - he's such a good boy, so loving and affectionate. I don't want to toot on our own horn, but if his life hadn't changed, I wouldn't be surprised if he were dead by now, from diabetes or heart disease. I was shocked he was as healthy as he was when I took him to the vet the day he came home.
