I'm starting a fasting lifestyle again. Gained way to much weight surviving off of sugar and my walk outdoors pants for cold weather walks are getting tight. Fasting has been the only thing that seems to work for me and it was enjoyable and sustainable. First meal at 10 am today.

If it works and you feel it's right, why not?

I remember first hearing about intermittent fasting when at my zoo internship. My supervisor ate a plant based diet and also fasted. Being someone who used to faint when young when I didn't eat breakfast and who would get hangry when hungry, it baffled me she would do hours of heavy labor at work before having her first meal! While away at school someone swore by it and convinced me to try it. Surprisingly, I didn't get hangry and such and had good results in feeling healthier and my body being healthier. Want to get back into it again!

I'm now going to put together all the paperwork I'll need for filling out my tax forms for 2020. It's a job I hate doing so the sooner I get it out of the way the happier I will be. I can't complete the task until I receive documents from the bank, my pension and my employer (I help out part-time at a doctor's surgery) but at least I can prepare the rest. So, I wish you all a good second day in January 2021 and I'll try to keep away from TCS until I've finished!🗄📖📑

I think I made a boo boo in getting a cat.

I thought I was a cat person, I've been wanting one for a very long time, I'm the second most cat-fan I know. And now that I have an easy and mellow one I think I should have waited a year or two and gotten a couple of collie dogs instead. Oh well. 😑

There, I said it. Still love the the one I have to bits and pieces and he's not ever going anywhere without me, I just won't get any more cats is all. 😄

Gracie must be going through a growth spurt. Fed them per usual each a half can of food. Gracie finished hers and came back to the bowl a few minutes later looking for more and licking the empty bowls. Gave them each anothe half can and that seems to have done the trick.

My kids found a toy I hid in the front closet probably +5 years ago. The world's most annoying toy ever... it's a piano that meows. And it sings the songs in a meow. And it has a microphone. I can still hear the stupid thing in my head. I kept meaning to throw it away when they aren't home but putting it off and forgetting for another 4-8 months. Wouldn't you know; the batteries in it were dead but never leaked!?!!? What's up with that!?!

I was trying to be casual like "Oh wow; we're going to have to ask Dad to look at it before we try anything." And then FRANTICALLY texting DH to NOT fix the toy because they got to him literally as soon as he walked in the door. He wasn't looking at his phone chiming away in his pocket. :bawling2::bawling2::bawling2:

So after I finally got his attention he told them it has to be an outside or in the garage toy. DD was just in the garage in her winter coat playing. I suppose it's an acceptable compromise. But no playing while I'm out there working out. Good thing I have a bluetooth speaker to play my own music!

And oh my gosh it's still for sale: B. Toys Interactive Cat Piano - Meowsic Now you know what to buy your enemies with small children! ;)

Lol, I'm definitely getting a dog or two in a couple of years anyway. Things would have been different without the cat though. Yes, I know I'm difficult and weird.😅 But like I said, the cat stays. I'm just... don't know the word, but disillusioned, I guess.
what did you expect and in what way are you disillusioned?

I have no hope for this year, but we'll see what happens. I know my only goal is to finish decorating my room. It's not a hard one and I find it quite fun decorating and turning my vision into reality. Doesn't feel like a chore like all the other new year's resolutions do. I bought a bookshelf with the help of that stimulus, next week, depending on what is owed bill wise and what I need to buy in essentials by then, I'm going to buy my nightstand. Those two are the most expensive signaler items.

Teddy's new habit is getting into the trash and eating things that make his tummy upset. I bought a new can with a locking lid so even if he knocks it down it won't open and get trash everywhere. Seems to only happen when there's chicken in there. Until it arrives the can will go in the laundry room. Trash cans should not be that expensive. I swear he's aging my mom more than her five kids ever did lol

My overdramatic coworker who needed to be the victim in every situation and making up lies about nightshift has finally quit. Night-shift's sister will take her place. Lovely woman. Hard worker. So relieved I don't have to walk into work to hear my coworker cry about some nurse telling her their trash doesn't need pulling because of a few gloves...

There's an urgent care walking distance from my house however because of covid they're closed...figures. This is not a good time to find a new job that's for sure.

Show Me Your Kitties Show Me Your Kitties what type of decorating style are you doing? Pics when done??? It's always nice having a fresh look. I've been craving rearranging the furniture here soon. Cats will be excited if so as new areas fire then to explore.

Oy, autocorrect... whenever I type hope you are doing well on my phone it writes hope you are dying well... so afraid I'll accidently send it without noticing and fixing!!! Can you imagine receiving that message??? Makes me laugh each time that happens, but would feel awful if it accidently gets sent that way!
