They announced that they are enforcing the ban January 1st. While we are still supposed to be under a stay at home advisory. It makes no sense to me.

Those bags are cute! I wonder how many I need too. I guess the grocery pickup people will be bagging stuff at my car? I haven’t heard how thats going to go. Please don’t tell me everything is going in loose.

I really miss using my reusable bags. I bring the plastic ones back to the recycling, but it feels like such a waste, and sometimes they would break. Sometimes it feels like life is never going to get back to normal.

W WillowMarie Maybe let them know you need to step back from it to prioritize some other things? It’s true; you are prioritizing being in contact with people you do connect to. But it could also be real world responsibilities.

Mom's picking up Sunnie from the vet. She's worried that his time is coming to an end and she may need to put him down soon. She asked before she left if I'd want to say bye so she knew depending on what goes down. I know part of it is she is anxious as she has to wait until the vet consult to hear anything and is expecting the worst, but that seems pretty typical with this vet. But he is also getting old and has had health complications for a while.

I always use the plastic ones for scooping the litter box. And other things. I guess now I can buy plastic bags for scooping. I used to have some designed for dirty diapers on the go. That might work. They were from the dollar store.

We use them for scooping, too, but we only scoop once a day, and we get way more plastic bags in the store than we need. It's ridiculous.

At Walmart, they bring the stuff out on a cart, then they put it in the trunk in our boxes that we put back there.

i think i've gotten really lucky with my neighbors. No one has complained about Puar's meowing or about me watching punk rock live streams until midnight some nights. I think we're mostly all young office workers/students so that probably helps. I honestly can't imagine moving to a building with families or older people in it...

There's a story to that, lol. I dunno, I really need someone as a go between I think. That's how stuff usually happens in Korea. If not for COVID, I might've been able to enlist someone for that role, but I haven't been able to become better friends with her (a mutual friend between us) since we can't really hang out ( -_____-)

I think that will be a big help! My kids know the routine here. They help carry everything in and we all like to reduce the number of trips to the car!

Are they still putting meat in bags? I was considering crates but my kids need to be able to carry them. Right now I’m hauling wet laundry home in plastic totes and those suckers are too heavy for either kid.

Ok cat experts... I have a question that has me really confused. Watched a YouTube video and lady's daughter was coming home with cats. Daughter said she needed denture cleaner for them. Why???

Heck yea. I'm really frugal, so I'd use my reusable bags at my main grocery store, but went to Walmart through the self-checkout occasionally to stock up on plastic grocery bags for popper scooping. I'd put 1-2 items in a bag and double bag it ~ 10 times. Then my stockpile would be refilled! Also use empty chip, bagel, and bread bags. Those work well!

Just making more friends. The BFF section is for people looking to make new friends. Most of my current friends struggle with busy life and mental health, so sometimes drop off the grid for weeks or months at a time. I have one I talk to pretty consistently, but don't want to overwhelm her. So just looking for more people to chat with and form friendships with and also help maybe emotionally support each other. When I have had a chance to talk with people video chat and on the phone, life feels so normal to me and my anxiety and uncertainty lifts. It would really help me to have more of that to help get me through this time, so working on making more friendships.

Hope you get them. I usually have good luck with Amazon, but I'm beginning to wonder about them.
I ordered some snow boots at the end of Nov. I've been tracking them. They went from Phoenix, to California then to Kentucky and as of yesterday they were in Ohio. This is almost getting funny.
I guess they figured since it's not safe for humans to travel, at least my boots will see the country.

A lot of parcels (from all carriers) are going wonky lately. I've fielded several complaints about parcels just sitting somewhere for several days before suddenly being delivered (sometimes with no tracking scans in between). A few that have been wandering the country for no reason. UPS is so inundated that they're refusing to pick up parcels from certain large companies. It's kind of crazy this year!
