Sorry to hear you're sick, hope you feel better soon.
3) leave a giant sweat stain that goes through the sheets and onto the mattress cover
Sounds like menopause.

I am so tired, but a good tired. Epic games is giving away a 5 game set of 'You Don't Know Jack' for a couple of weeks. It's not a one player game though. Last night, my son, his friend (in Colorado) and myself were up until around 2 am playing these games. Had so much fun. Tonight we are getting his best friend (who's in the USAF) to join since he has some time off. This means I will probably be up until 3 am. But it's a small price to pay to spend time with my son who will probably be moving to go to a better college soon.

Chain of events:
1) don't get a flu shot
2) get the flu
3) leave a giant sweat stain that goes through the sheets and onto the mattress cover
4) decide to help your fiancé prop the mattress against the wall to take ofc the cover and step on the bed frame
5) the stats do not support your weight so you go tumbling down into the hollow part of your bed between the under-bed drawers, breaking a slat.
6) end up injuring your knee

How's your Saturday?
:argh:you poor thing! I hope things will start getting better as the day goes.:agree:
Now will you get a flu shot?:please:

I was moving Aedan's high chair. Tripped over my own feet, jammed my foot into the leg of the high chair, and shattered the nail on my middle toe. Shattered pieces caught on the sock and the nail ripped out when I was trying to take the sock off to look at it. It REALLY hurts.

:eek2: I hope things start to improve today! :grouphug:
They should!

Sounds like menopause.
If I'm going through menopause at 35, I'm really in trouble!

I think I will for next year. No point now, I think.

Yikes! That sounds extremely painful! Use Neosporin and take care of yourself!

I went for a walk today because I was feeling pretty bored after being stuck in the house all week, and stumbled across a beautiful garden and old manor house that I'd never seen or heard of before purely by chance. I love it when these things happen! There were lots of beautiful snowdrop beds out too, which is a sign that spring is on its way :)

I never wear rain gear and don't own an umbrella. I get wet but never soaked. Maybe because I'm an Aquarius. lol
I'm a Pisces, and always look like I've drowned, even in a light sprinkle...thing is, I don't mind a bit.

Be glad it's the cats. When my son was 3, he had a conversation with a rattlesnake.
Speaking of conversations with animals, that 3 year old boy was found, more or less all right, but is talking about visiting with a bear. Could be, I suppose.

How's your Saturday?
Far, far better than yours!

Sounds like menopause.
It does, doesn't it? Mother Nature gets us coming and going! However, having lived through it, life is sweet again.

Good grief, and yet again,

All these damaged paws around here! Must be something in the water.

Aren't moments like that wonderful? I was driving around Chattanooga, Tennessee a few years back (I lived there then), and ran across a big, gray stone manor house that came right out of Wuthering Heights. It was just stupendous. There was a carriage house in back, too. I just sat there for the longest (thankfully a VERY quiet street) and drank it in. It was a gray, misty day, and it just looked surreal with the mist blowing across the yard. I could never find it again after that day, although I spent a lot of time looking.

I'm so tossed. David Tennant is doing a podcast which is going to have a lot of good stars as guests. Problem is, you need a Twitter account. I'm not sure I want to do this.
Does anyone here have Twitter and if so what do you think about it? Do I have to get it on my phone or can I get one on my computer?
I really want to hear it, but I'm just not sure about Twitter.

Ouch! :vibes::vibes::vibes::alright::grouphug2:

Sounds like the fever breaking.

I wasn't saying that you are going through it. Just stating that this is what happens, so you have that to look forward to.
Not all of us get hot flashes - I didn't. I only get them when my blood sugar is off, and that has nothing to do with menopause.

Speaking of conversations with animals, that 3 year old boy was found, more or less all right, but is talking about visiting with a bear. Could be, I suppose.
My mother told a story about my maternal grandmother, when she was about 3. Her parents and grandparents had neighboring homesteads, and one day when the grown ups were working the farm she decided to visit her grandmother.

Her grandmother naturally assumed that her mother knew where she was, but of course she had told no one. When the little girl realized that it was about supper time she said she had to leave, but she was late enough that it was beginning to get dark and she got lost. She was also getting cold, and very scared, until a big dog showed up and escorted her home.

When she got close she met the search party, who were all set to shoot the timber wolf that she was holding onto, but she told them that the doggy was her friend and had helped her find her way home, so they didn't. And in that part of the forest, the wolf pack and humans proceeded to coexist peacefully until the family pulled up stakes and moved farther West.

To the best of my knowledge, the story is true. And I do not recommend petting wolves.

You can get on Twitter in your browser, no problem. And it's not nearly as nasty as FaceBook, with their sales of user information to the highest bidder.

You'll have to sign up for it and pick a user name and create a password; after that it's fairly easy. Feel free to PM me any questions, which I'll be happy to answer if I know the answer. Or else follow me on Twitter (I'm @MargretMinette) and I'll follow you back, after which you can send me a Direct Message (DM) on Twitter, and I can answer you privately there. (DMs on Twitter are the equivalent of PMs on TCS.)

You are so very lucky. I wake up drenched and then feeling like I'm going to combust. However, it is rather nice in the winter.

What I decided to do was to make a trash email acct. (ie. Hotmail, gmail, outlook) with a fake name and then sign up to Twitter using that info. All I wanted it for was David Tennant's podcast.

Yay. I can't wait. :p

Rest of the day has gone well so far, thankfully, and my knee's not hurting so much anymore. So I can be grateful for that.

I looked up the podcast (based on your recommendation - thank you), and it appears that Twitter was just where he announced it. You subscribe to it the way you do to any podcast.

So far there's been one episode, which is just a version of the announcement that the podcast is coming. The episode has good production values, unlike the announcement on Twitter which had background sounds and only (I think) the voice of David Tennant.

What's on my mind? Wondering if can actually manage to get this feral foster kitten socialized.
This was from trying to pick her up for her antibiotics (both fosters have URIs)

I'm nowhere near giving up, but this is certainly gonna be a huge challenge.
You can follow along with the adventure in my thread:
My Kitten Foster Adventure..

Thank gawd her sister is a sweetheart...

And they are very bonded with each other.
:hearthrob::hearthrob:

UPDATE: Cribbage (the scared one who attacked me when I tried to pick her up for meds) is doing AMAZING.
I even picked her up right after this video and I received no wounds. :)

This morning, she PURRED!!! :hearthrob:

For anyone who wants to see the transformation so far, here's the thread where I've been documenting a lot:
Foster Kitten Adventure (1 Sweet + 1 Feral)

Oh and Fiddle (the friendly gal) is still awesome. :)

I am so mad at Twitter. I logged in to hear the podcast and they wouldn't let me proceed without a phone number. Um...NO. If they had said this was a requirement from the beginning, I wouldn't have signed up.
But I found it on Castbox and I didn't have to sign up.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to type when you have a wireless keyboard and it's on your lap...and so is the cat? It took me 10 minutes to type this one paragraph.

Did anyone watch the first episode of I Am The Night on TNT tonight? Maybe it's on a different night where you are. I saw the first episode, and loving suspense, I really enjoyed it. I'm recording the rest of the series in case I can't watch ( or forget to ).

Could you just use a fake phone number? Maybe not obviously fake like 123-456-7891 or something. What is the purpose of providing a phone number anyways? Marketing purposes? Data collection to see where in the country people are from?

Is this the podcast? David Tennant Does a Podcast With… by Somethin' Else & No Mystery on Apple Podcasts It's free on iTunes. iTunes is free to download and you don't need to register on the iTunes store to download free podcasts.

Who says dogs are better than cats? Connor plays fetch. He's a lap cat. He licks my hand - he goes nuts grooming my hands. He'll hold the hand and not let me have it back until he's done. And he smells a lot better than a dog. His licks are much less slobbery. And dogs can't purr. Plus, he poops in a box. I don't have to use a baggie to clean it up and I don't have to give him baths.
And Murphy and Mickey are great, too. They don't play fetch or groom my hand, but they're very cuddly and affectionate. Cats are better than dogs. Just sayin'.
Not that I dislike dogs. I just greatly prefer cats. And did I mention that cats don't smell? Dogs always have that "dog" smell - no matter how recently they've been bathed. I've never been around a dog that didn't smell.

You can create a gmail email account and get a google phone number and use that.
Thank's but I found it for free with no sign up on Castbox. It just P****** me off that they insisted on my phone number. Not happening.

He licks my hand - he goes nuts grooming my hands. He'll hold the hand and not let me have it back until he's done.
The other day Samai batted the mouse out of my hand and them rammed her head into the hand so I would pet her. Then she proceeded to lick my fingers.
