So I tried multiple things to take care of my cats' teeth but recently I just decided to start brushing their teeth. I was surprised they let me, they do think it is weird though.

Is it okay to just brush their teeth with a damp toothbrush or is the feline toothpaste required?

I've always used a pet toothpaste. They come in different flavors to help. But kudos to you for brushing the teeth at all! Plain toothbrush is probably better than nothing!

I mostly realized it was more efficient and effective than dental treats(which I wasn't even sure if they were working at all) or the water additive. The water additive wasn't something that I could do because it doesnt work with the fountain.
I'll consider the pet toothpaste, they might like a little flavor on the toothbrush.

I was wondering about using regular tooth brushes for humphrey!
