Google lens suggests that Tobias is a Sokoke or Bengal mix. What do y’all think?
We found him as a stray. Hes the best cat ever. He even likes car rides!Domestic shorthair tabby unless you have papers from a breeder. Cats aren't mixes of breeds like dogs. In fact, due to the overpopulation and decades of domestics breeding with domestics, the majority of cats don't have any purebred ancestry at all and are just called domestic short or long hair. All we can do is think about what breeds they may resemble. Characteristics and markings and personalities are very widespread among the general cat population. Even color pointed cats are not necessarily Siamese mixes.
Where did your baby come from? His markings are gorgeous.
My first thought was marble Bengal.Rounded ear tips, high paws, strong looking tail, back legs longer than front, small head, square muzzle, black mascara around eyes..could have marbled Bengal in there somewhere.
We have a marbled foster with cream tummy. He is def a DSH through and through, thoughMy first thought was marble Bengal.
I had Bengals a few years ago and looked at both rosetted and marbled cats. Looks very much like the markings on the marbled cats to me.... Especially with that tummy in cream.
Gorgeous boy either way.
Just looked again at pics of the marble Bengals and their coats do seem to be much more distinct in terms of the patterns the marbles did always look fairly similar to tabbies but with a hefty price tag....We have a marbled foster with cream tummy. He is def a DSH through and through, though
Dats right!Rounded ear tips, high paws, strong looking tail, back legs longer than front, small head, square muzzle, black mascara around eyes..could have marbled Bengal in there somewhere.
Its getting difficult with Bengals.Looking again at his rich reddish colors and pattern layout.
With the risk of again making fool of myself, I will change somewhat my first opinion. I do now think he does has some bengal ancestry. His granddad or granddads dad isnt a potential one, I think he is real.
So healthy!!! Rambunctious and wild too lol@SilverCrazy That's too bad. You'd think cat people would have more sense than to act like dog breeders but it sounds like the same old song to me. Never mind. Tobias is beautiful and he takes after the very best of the classic USAmerican DSH that is in his DNA regardless of whether he has some Bengal blood in there too.
My Willow is much stockier and looks just like any other teenager trying to pretend to be more British than she really is, she's just a teenaged cat. There's a wide variety in our moggies and they're all beautiful.
The outdoor picture of Tobias really shows off what I'm talking about. He could have walked right out of the 1960s. Beautiful animal, and I bet he's healthy too.
